About Me

I am a Year 1 teacher in the Oxfordshire area. I have a passion for teaching phonics, early reading, writing and mathematics. I am also trained in nurture and have a great deal of experience working with children who need extra support in communicating and understanding their social and emotional needs.

My Experience

I have a First Class degree in Education Studies and over ten years experience working in schools and less formal settings such as youth services.
I have QTS which I was awarded following completion of a PgTA, for which I achieved a distinction.
I have training in a range of areas from nurture, to SEND support. My experience working with children additional needs and English as an additional language is extensive.
My biggest passion is teaching phonics to young children although I am also skilled in teaching early writing and mathematics.
