We moved to Leamington in November 2024 and, in truth, Melissa was the only available option to provide childcare for our youngest (then 1.5 year old). The situation made it a gamble we were initially nervous about, but we felt hopeful after speaking with Melissa over the phone and visiting her lovely home shortly after we moved. Within a matter of days, we realised just how lucky we were that Melissa had an available space for our little one! He took no time at all to settle in and now runs into her home and doesn't even look back to say bye to us.

Melissa's home is an idyllic setting with a large open-plan space with free access into her garden. For us, easy access to the outdoors was really important, and so this was a big plus. Her home is set in the countryside with lovely nature and animals (dog, cats, rabbits, fish and even some horses next door!). We also appreciate the great structure she provides, with varied daily activities and regular outings to local parks and groups.

It is so evident that Melissa loves her job. She is thoughtful and goes above and beyond for the children in her care. An example of this was when she learned that our little one speaks another language. Melissa went out of her way to learn key words in Gujarati, she bought a Gujarati book to read to him, and she even subscribed herself onto a course to help her work with children who speak English as a second language. This goes to show the passion that she has for child development and how much she genuinely cares for his progress. Finally, her communication is fantastic; we receive regular, detailed updates and photos that truly make us feel connected to his day.

In summary, Melissa is a phenomenal childminder (even our 4 year old asks us regularly when he can go to Melissa's!!). We feel completely confident and at ease leaving our child in her care, and we wholeheartedly recommend her to any parent looking for a warm, nurturing, and professional childcare setting.
