About Me

***fully qualified Paediatric Nurse***

Hello, my name is Ebony Jane and I am currently available for ad hoc nannying/ babysitting. I will be available as a regular nanny/babysitter as of September.
I’m super excited to get to know you and your little loved ones!

• B.Sc. Paediatric Nursing (1st Class Honours Degree with prizes for academic excellence and academic achievement)
• 3yrs Paediatric Nursing at Sheffield Children’s Hospital
• Further nursing role promoting Child & Family Mental Health and Wellbeing on my ward
• 3yrs of nursing placement including hospital based nursing, neonatal nursing, community nursing, healthcare nursing
• Volunteer nurse in Tanzania
• TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language qualification) teaching children in Cambodia
• Sessional worker for a charity providing respite and support for families of children and young people with disabilities and additional needs
• MIND befriending service volunteer, working to promote mental health and provide compassion and companionship

I hope the above has helped highlight my plethora of experience caring for children, from premature babies up to the age of 18. I consider it a great privilege to be a part of a family's journey, driving me to provide high-quality care, founded on empathy, dignity, and respect. I endeavour to place the child and families of those I care for at the heart of all I do.

I have a great sense of adventure and love trying new things and meeting new people. I spend my free time hiking, wild swimming and running. I also find immense joy in making others smile and spreading kindness, I therefore enjoy volunteering and community projects. I am also a huge family person and adore spending time with my loved ones (in both human & animal form!). I have a big heart, with lots of love and joy to share.

I love animals and would happily also look after your fur babies too!!

I also like to think that I am a…
magical, mystical bedtime storyteller and a sleep time sorceress, a game maker-upperer extraordinaire, and, if I do say so myself, a tip top tummy tickler too!

My Experience

I am a qualified paediatric nurse! I have been working as a children’s nurse for 3yrs. I believe it to be a great honour to have met such inspiring and amazing children and families throughout my career.

With my extensive nursing knowledge and experience looking after and caring for children and families at their most ill through to when they are thriving, I believe I can create a happy and nourishing environment for your dear ones. I am also very mindful of any routines/ schedules/ needs you and your family may have, and will use a holistic approach to ensure I meet your specific needs. Leaving your loved one in someone else's care can be hard, so l
want to help reassure you and create a wonderful relationship that helps everyone flourish.

I have further experience through volunteer nursing projects in Tanzania, and volunteer work whilst travelling (such as teaching in a street school in Cambodia and volunteering at an orphanage).
I have also worked, and volunteered, for a beautiful charity which supports children and families with complex needs, providing respite, day trips, sleep support, and lots and lots of fun!
