Im 18, and i live in Moniaive. I'm currently studying Early Education and Childcare at Dumfries College, and will be doing the HNC in Childhood Practice next academic year. I love working with and spending time with children. I also enjoy baking and going on walks with my dog, and
spending time outdoors. I have my own car so i have a lot of flexibility and freedom to be able to travel.
My Experience
As i'm doing my NC in Early Education and Childcare i have done a two week block working in a local nursery and im currently doing one day a week there too, alongside my practical studies at college. I really enjoy getting to do my placement in the nursery as it means i get to spend time with the children every week. Whilst at nursery i get to engage in the children's play activities and support their development through various play experiences, these include art, outdoor games, reading, and learning activities. In the past i've helped to look after younger children in my family, and family friends children. All of which has helped me to develop my confidence and deepen my knowledge of working with children.
My Qualifications
I have a PVG check and at the end of the academic year i will have an NC in Early Education and Child Care.
My Availability
Currently I am at college Tuesdays and Wednesdays 9.30 to 4.30, and Nursery on Fridays 8.30-3.30. I'd be available after those times on those days and free any other days during the week. I will have more free time during school holidays.
