About Me

I am able to do all sorts of Childcare ranging from preparing meals feeding,bathing,dressing, medication administration,changing of diapers,tidying up play areas and ensuring childrens safety and house cleaning in general.I am also able to interact with kids and their parents due to my good communication skills,so also confidentiality is part of what is paramount in childcare which I put into practice I.e I do not discuss anything about the child/children am looking after with an outsider and I accord respect to families of the kids am caring for and whoever I come across within the course of my duty.I am able to do observation on kids i look after.I am also able to do documentation such as paper work whereby we note down the state of the child/children which can be done hourly,some are at every half hour or 15minutes,so also document the mar chart,stool chart,food&fluid chart.I am able to understand the changes in kids and know the support to give at each moment.I am able to work as a team effectively and also support my colleagues professionally to promote team work,also able to respect,respond appropriately to physical,psychological,emotional,social,cultural needs of kids i look after knowing fully well they are vulnerable and going home knowing fully well i have been able to put smile on kids face makes my day coupled with the fact that am a mother,i treat them the way i treat mine.I have literacy and numeracy skills(math and English),also I observe the 6 C's in care and I have lots of empathy.
