About Me
We are a busy working family, my husband is full time and I'm part time. We are looking for school holidays care, likely a couple times a week but we can talk through availability and plan ahead for cover to suit if we need more / less. I don't work a Wednesday and my other days are 9am - 2:30pm (with some run-over occasionally) but I might want to have some time where my little one is looked after to free me up to do any housework, shopping etc, or to give me a break. Our daughter is soon turning 5 and she has additional needs (yet to be diagnosed ADHD/Autism), which means she is above normal nursery age and also requires more supervision than out of school clubs can provide, or it is at a price over our budget. She is super friendly and loving but requires high levels of supervision due to a complete lack of danger awareness. She is not yet potty trained so potentially some personal care required, however, I work from home so can attend to this if required. Unfortunately I just can't work on the computer with her as I'd never get anything done. We are in the family home and my mum is present but due to age and disability, cannot cope with my little girl for extended periods of time. My little girl loves outdoor play, especially anything involving water. She likes stickers and doing painting (in short bursts due to attention span), "cooking" etc, mostly like all little children. She likes books, making music (with some sound sensory issues to bear in mind), playing with her barbies etc. Her main issues are with communication and understanding, danger awareness (including putting non-food items in her mouth) and flight risk when out and about, although if she is at home, this shouldn't be an issue. In the garden we have a slide, swing, Wendy house, mud kitchen and play boat. We also may have a padling pool available as appropriate. We have a lovely gazebo / patio area, with no problem for you to have lunch or 5 mins rest (while still supervising of course). We have plenty of toys and there is always the TV or tablet to fall back on. Parking available in our driveway. All in all, she is just a very busy little girl who just wants to be loved and played with and we just want her to be supervised and safe while we do our best to work and earn a living. If you have additional experience with special needs children, that is an added bonus but not a deal breaker, as long as you are patient and can give her the attention she needs to keep her occupied and safe.
My Requirements
