About Me
I am a GOOD rated, highly experienced and qualified registered childminder with spaces available for early years children, term time only or all year around. Pickup & drop off available.
No day looks the same at the Monkey Tree house, I proudly provide the widest range of excursions out of all local childcare providers, as well as arts & crafts, messy play, baking bread, phonics classes, private swimming lessons, gymnastics classes, and so much more.
Your children’s learning goals are personal to them as well as being in line with the EYFS, and I offer support in helping them achieve them.
My Experience
I have now been childminding for over 2 years and am rating GOOD. Before childminding I also worked as a swimming teacher at a private swim school for two years, where I taught babies from as young as 1 week old up to 10 years and adapted lessons to individual needs and learning styles of each child. As well as this, I have been babysitting regularly for over 20 years.
My Qualifications
As well as a degree in childhood & education, I have completed my childcare in a home based environment qualification through my governing agency, as well as food hygiene for childminders and designated safeguarding lead and I have independently completed an ofsted approved paediatric first aid course. In addition to this I have completed a safety award for teachers through STA, which delves deeper into wet casualties and prepares me for various rescues in and out of the water. I have undertaken a range of CPD courses since registering as a childminder, such as forest school leader & first aid, hygge in the early years rewilding CPD as well as the agency’s “amazing babies” course, which delves deeper into the pedagogy’s I am interested in such as Reggio emelio, Montessori, Steiner/Waldorf and more. My agency also work closely with the curiosity approach and I regularly undertake training and workshops around this approach. I am committed to keeping up to date with the EYFS, and undertaking CPDs which will improve the quality of my curriculum.
My Availability
Open 7am-6pm. Flexible hours available. Pickup & drop off available.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £10.00 per hour
- Childminding from £5.00 per hour
Out of hours fees subject to increase
