Sonia has been looking after our son for the past 3.5 years and I couldn't recommend her enough.

As a childminder she is flexible, fair, follows the rules you implement at home and gives great advice when you think you're going crazy through the never ending changes of your child. As a first time mum, I was and still am grateful for her advice and wisdom.

Our son loves her, her home and her family and I'm pretty sure he'd move in if he could. She made the transition of me going back to work all those years ago so easy and I always had a message before I even got to work to tell me be was fine.

We have really unusual childcare needs and Sonia has never turned us away. She is not in our area and was only supposed to have him for a few months until we could find childcare in our area but due to our son settling so well and loving it, and with us having built a solid, trusting relationship with her we asked if she'd keep him.

As a person, she's amazing. She's helped our family through life's ups and downs and has made sure our son doesn't have a clue if something is different. She has become an extended part of our family and we were not looking forward to saying goodbye when our son starts school in a few weeks. Thankfully, she has agreed to keep taking our son during school holidays so we will still get to see her but, more importantly, our son will still get to go to 'My Sonias' too.
