Hello - I’m Emily and my husband’s name is Greig. We have two amazing children, a little girl who turns 3 in October (she is very talkative, loves giving cuddles and showing you her toys and playing pretend!) and a little boy who turns 1 in December (we can’t believe our luck with him, he is a chilled out dude and very smiley and happy). I am currently off on maternity leave but starting back at a new job in September which will require me to work long days and I would take Friday off with the kids until they go to school in years to come. My husband also works long days as a lawyer. We are keen to know our children are safe with a loving, warm and caring nanny who wants to spend time helping them thrive and most importantly be happy. We are initially looking for help 2-3 evenings per week fixed (i.e. from nursery pick up to bedtime, eg 5pm-8pm) with the flexibility to ask for your support on weekends and extra evenings ~6-8 times a year. We would love to welcome someone into our family long term (ie not just a short contract). We live in Islington.
My Requirements
We are open to a discussion about hours for support. Ideally we are looking for someone a minimum of Wednesday and Thursday evenings from nursery pick up (~30 min walk from home) to getting the kids to bed and if that’s not enough hours, we can also look to build in other evenings/weekends etc. We haven’t had in house childcare before, so very open to discussions with you about what could work!

Our daughter was unable to attend nursery due to her having chickenpox. We were worried to use a nanny/babysitter we hadn’t met before but Marian was very understanding and was very prompt to provide her documentation, which she also brought the paper copies of for when we met her in person. We had a FaceTime call with Marian in advance and she was able to make us feel at ease quickly. On the day of the sitting, Marian was warm and caring towards our daughter (nearly 3) and our baby son (8 months) which helped me hugely being able to get a bit of me time after an intense weekend of chickenpox in the house!! We will use her again for the next 2 days and in the future. She is brilliant.
