Hi,

My husband and I are both full-time working parents, based in Newcastle upon Tyne and we're looking for a caring and reliable childminder for our daughter from September 2026. Preferably someone who is very local to us. We are searching now because we have found that waiting lists are up to 2 years long currently.

We're ideally looking for full-time care which can be changed week to week but understand that it may also have to be set days each week, therefore it would be Monday to Friday 8-5:30pm. We are hoping that this would only be 3/4 days a week rather than 5 days a week. We would prefer if you offered spread funding (30 hours from 9 months) across 50 weeks of the year. If not, we would pay for any additional hours to make up for what the funding doesn't cover in the week and school holidays.

Our funding starts from January 2027. We would pay prior to then from September to December 2026.

We're looking for someone warm, engaging and experienced – ideally someone who encourages learning through play, and provides a safe, loving environment. We'd love for them to be around other children too, to help build social skills.
