About Me
Hello from Gigi.
I wake up every morning and have my early morning walks. The sun paints everything in a warm golden glow on these dawn adventures, when it’s not cloudy! Either way, life is like a dream. I'm so thankful for the peace of mind that I have. I write children's stories. All the stories are adaptations of real adventures and experiences that have happened, and many of them, on these early morning escapades! I also have an “Elsie's Adventures” series, which is full of character animals on various hilarious exploits, and an education series: “Learning a language through Christ.” In Latin, Greek, Spanish, Italian, Gaelic, and French. I want to grow a legacy with my books to help children grow, develop, and be happy. The creativity behind this comes from my Father's teachings. I believe children should be able to live as children: jumping in puddles and playing in mud!
My husband is a High School Teacher. I am studying part-time towards a degree in English Literature and Creative Writing, and I work part-time at Doodlebugs Nursery. I am SSSC registered with PVG registration. We live on the outskirts of Crook of Devon. Our neighbours are fluffy sheep, rabbits, a swan called Layla, Atthis the Kingfisher, and the happy baby otter.
My Experience
I am fun, reliable, caring, and my number one priority is to make each day the happiest it can be for the children I care for. I always loved my childhood years: I recall the fun of designing easter hats and painting hard-boiled eggs. These are good memories to be cherished forever... it is an honour and privilege to create such memories for children today, with fun and special moments that will last a lifetime.
We provide:
• Bird watching: ducks and swans and much, much more; learning all about nature.
• Fun cooking: making biscuits and cakes for mummies and daddies.
• Developing language, storytelling, and Art: drawing and crafting scenes inspired by movies and cartoons.
• Problem-solving fun: Movie quizzes, word association, plus other fun games: Scrabble, Pictionary, Connect 4, and indoor bowling.
• Fun with art: painting, drawing, and colouring.
• Skills development: games that teach counting, letters, maths, and problem solving.
• Playdough: helping develop cognitive abilities.
• Interactive Storytelling: developing listening and learning skills.
• Basic Spanish and French: songs, stories, and simple phrases.
• Seasonal Crafts: Designing Easter hats, decorating hard-boiled eggs, learning Christmas songs, cooking gingerbread cookies, and creating memories.
My Qualifications
BA Honours Degree in English Literature and Creative Writing.
AAT Accounting, GNVQ Advanced Business,
OCR Integrated Business.
A-level Statistics, Art & Technology.
My Availability
As a mum, I know how difficult it can be to leave your children in the care of others, having been through this phase ourselves before. So, I make sure that I give all the little children in my care the best possible experience. I am dedicated in providing your little stars with fun, letting them explore their imagination, with lots of laughter, warmth, consistency, and letting them be as children should be, creating happy moments and lasting memories.
