About Me

I am a qualified Teaching Assistant specialising in Special Educational Needs, with a degree in Education with SEN. I have experience supporting children with a wide range of needs, including autism, ADHD and learning difficulties, and I am confident adapting activities to suit each child’s individual needs and interests.

I am patient, caring and reliable, and I always prioritise creating a safe, fun and nurturing environment. Through my school-based role, I am experienced in supporting children’s emotional regulation, communication and independence skills. I am also happy to help with homework, bedtime routines, and structured play or creative activities.

I have experience working with children of different ages and abilities and understand the importance of building trust with both children and parents. I am comfortable around pets, a non-smoker, I don’t drive but will provide my own transportation.

My Experience

I have worked within school settings since the age of 18, supporting children across different age groups and abilities. Through my role as a SEN Teaching Assistant, I have gained hands-on experience supporting children with additional needs, helping with learning, behaviour support, emotional regulation and communication development.

Alongside my professional experience, I was also a young carer for my autistic brother. This has given me a strong understanding of patience, consistency and adapting support to meet individual needs in real-life situations.

I am trained in Safeguarding and LEA/LEAFE training, ensuring I understand how to keep children safe, recognise concerns and follow correct procedures. I am confident working independently, following care routines and creating a supportive, structured and nurturing environment for children.

My Qualifications

I have a bachelors degree in education with special education needs studies, I am also trained in safeguarding and LEA/AFE.
