We are so excited to start with Emma as our childminder, from the very first visits and what we’ve seen so far, I can already tell she’s going to be amazing!

Her home setting feels so welcoming and truly homely – it’s cosy, calm, and has that lovely warm and nurturing vibe that makes the children (and parents!) feel instantly at ease.

Emma herself comes across as incredibly kind and thoughtful. She’s gentle with little ones, really listens, and has a natural way with children that puts them at ease straight away.

Emma picks up on what the children love to play with and builds from there – whether it’s following their lead with toys, starting a game based on their interests, or adapting activities on the spot. It feels personal and child-led, which is brilliant.

The activities we’ve seen are nicely varied too – a good mix of indoor play, creative stuff, and outdoor time when possible, keeping things fresh and engaging.

She’s been reliable with our communications so far, and very adaptive around opening and closing times – we’ve already appreciated her flexibility with our schedule, which makes such a difference when juggling work.

The app for updates looks great (we’ve seen some lovely examples), and I’m looking forward to those daily check-ins with photos and notes.

Most of all, you can just tell Emma genuinely cares and truly loves what she does. The way she interacts, smiles, and engages with the children – it’s clear this is a passion for her, not just a job.
