About Me

Hi, my name is Selina, and I’m looking for an Ofsted-Registered Nanny (if not already ofsted registered would pay for registration for the right person) ideally with SEN experience. I have a 6 year old son who is home educated. I work from home on Mondays and Tuesdays and, although he is able to self-direct his online learning, I would love to have a fun, caring, and compassionate person at home with him whilst I work. Someone who can help facilitate a holistic approach during other play based activities.

My son takes time to build trust, so calmness, kindness, and patience are really important qualities for us. SEN experience and home education experience would be a huge benefit, though the right personality fit is our top priority. I would happily pay for the right person to become ofsted registered if that isn’t in place already. I am looking for a long term nanny to support our little family.

He’s energetic and attends several home-education classes throughout the week. In the longer term, once a relationship has been established, I may need support with some of these activities. Initially, however, we are looking for a nanny on Mondays from 9am–1pm and Tuesdays from 9am–5pm, with the hope of extending these hours once settled into a new routine and a bond has been established.

We also have a very sweet little puppy—potty trained and crate trained—who will be around and more than happy to offer cuddles.

In addition to the nanny position, I am also looking for a in person tutor. I am looking for a 1-2-1 tutor for KS1 & KS2 Maths and English, preferably someone who works within the home Ed community with SEN self directed learning experience.

Please note these are two separate positions and I don’t require our nanny to have tutoring skills.
