I am highly qualified (masters degree) and experienced. I believe in a learning-through-play approach and I have a broad understanding of childhood from both a theoretical and practical perspective.
I have a keen interest and specialist knowledge in children’s rights and the importance of allowing children to be autonomous, independent little people.
I am also a qualified swimming teacher.
My other interests include swimming, travel, culture, history, science, reading and music.
I have a DBS check and I am on the online update service, so I would be more that happy to share my info with you for it to be checked.
I have 9 years experience working with infants and children.
I have worked with children from birth to 5-years-old in day nurseries and preschools as an early years practitioner and as a setting manager. I also spent a year living in Australia where I worked as a nanny.
- NVQ Level 3 in Child Care, Learning and Development
- Certificate in Early Years Practice (Level 4)
- BA (hons) Childhood and Youth Studies
- MA Early Childhood Education
- ASA Level 2 Swimming Teaching
I am open to discussing availability. I can be relatively flexible but I will be looking to work around my studies.
