My Experience

I have worked on and off as a babysitter and a nanny for all 7 of my adult years in both Boston, MA and New York City, NY. Additionally, I grew up with tons of young children in my family, which is how I became passionate about childcare! I am comfortable with ages 6 months to 13 years, with most of my experience being in the care of ages 1-4 years, and my most recent experiences with ages 9 months to 6 years. I will happily provide references! Most of the families I have worked with have also had multiple children, so I'm comfortable with up to 3 children at once as a solo caretaker.

My Qualifications

I have been working with children as a caretaker, tutor, and mentor on and off for all 7 years of my adulthood, and I began caring for young children as a paid babysitter at age 11. Now, at 25, having experienced full-time work as a childcare worker, I feel very competent as a well-rounded caretaker experienced in pick-ups and drop-offs, bathing, bedtime care, juggling organized activities, organizing and going on outings, preparing meals and feeding, naptime, tantrums, handling conflict/sibling fighting, and more! I re-certified for adult and child CPR and first aid in October of 2024 through the American Red Cross, which is valid until October 2026. I am happy to provide my certificate! As I am an American here for the relatively short term, I have not done any standard UK courses or qualifications, but I would consider it if necessary.

My Availability

I am no longer in term-time for my Master's program, so I can be extremely flexible to your schedule! I will still be working on my Master's dissertation, so it is unlikely that I could work full time (40+ hours).

My Fees

• Babysitting from £20.00 per hour
• Nannying from £20.00 per hour (gross)

My rates are very open to negotiation! I have listed my rates as they are in the US, but I am happy to adjust if these don't reflect the expected costs in the UK. As I am currently located on the University of Cambridge campus, I would prefer to be reimbursed for longer-distance travel or for travel done during hours of the night that I would not be comfortable walking home (typically 9pm or later).
