I am the mother of 5 wonderful children, however 2 have recently flown the nest!
We live in the lovely village of Hilton, Derbyshire. We live in a spacious detatched house with a large secure garden which is full of outdoor toys and a purpose built playroom.
We have a fish tank which the children can help to care for if they wish to.
We are all non smokers.
having worked in the NHS for many years I am aware of the need to be flexible. I have an ofsted rating of good or outstanding in all areas.
Please feel free to ring for an informal chat over a cuppa any time!I look forward to meeting you and your little treasure/treasures.
I am an experienced midwife and an experienced child carer. As your children are your most important posessions I am able to offer the unique service of being a highly qualified medical professional who is also able to care for your gorgeous baby and/ or children. My midwifery training has enabled me to be highly skilled in paediatric first aid and resuscitation.
I also hold a current food hygiene qualification which enables me to prepare nutritious and healthy food in a safe way for the children in my care.
I have also worked as a teaching assistant which has enabled me to become aware of the learning needs of children and how best to implement them into everyday life. I was also trained in how to manage behaviour positively.
I enjoy an outdoor lifestyle and this is reflected with the children I care for as we venture out most days and this ensures children have fun whilst learning.

Having spent some time doing due diligence to find an experienced childminder for our 3-month son who was six weeks premature, we appointed Jayne.
Her paediatric experience and knowledge of febrile convulsions in youngsters clinched it for us and we met Jayne who reassured us that he would be in capable hands.
This was two months prior to the start date, so we organised going back to work and got ready for the first session. Jayne reassured us that a settling session would not be required because he was so young and so we signed the paperwork and paid in full upfront for the first month.
We were aware that Jayne had requested that we kept her up to date with any changes with our son and so we did.
Our son had what looked like to us a very short seizure in the few days prior to his start date. We were however, reassured by the consultant at the hospital that it was a symptom of his acid reflux and not to worry, plenty of cuddles required if it happened again.
It was only right we relayed this to Jayne in his first day notes.
First day blip came when Jayne requested that we change one of our days because she didn't feel that she should give our son the care he needed after the acid reflux episode. We made arrangements with work and changed the day at her request.
Day 2 on picking our son up she said she couldn't cope with our son and had written a letter of termination which she'd pre-packed in the changing bag.
At no time did Jayne say anything positive about our son, everything seemed like a hassle - whether it was when he cried on the school run, wasn't drinking enough or screaming in his sleep.
As I mum I felt thoroughly discouraged through the whole 2 day experience. I'm sure she's probably great with older children but newborns/younger children i'm just not so sure.
I recently used Jayne as a babysitter for my 6 month old baby when we were staying in Derbyshire for a wedding. I was very nervous leaving my son as I have only left him once before and never with someone I didn't know. I used this site and must have found the MOST qualified babysitter in the whole county. Jayne was not just professional - bringing all her qualifications and documentation with her for me to review, but also really nice and understanding and didn't make me feel like I was being a paranoid first time mother. Both my husband and I were immediately made to feel at ease by her comfortable manner and depth of experience.
