About Me
My name is Jocelyn and I am a Register Childminder, with over 16 years childminding experience. I live near Calthorpe Park Secondary School in Fleet, with my husband and 3 wonderful (adult) daughters.
I offer a flexible professional childminding service and provide a happy, safe and secure environment, with lots of toys and resources in an amazing playroom, where children can learn, feel valued and develop confidently in all the areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage. I provide a wide range of activities so that the children learn and develop to their full potential and can confidently deal with a range of situations and experiences. We go out most days, visiting a range of local play groups, parks, woodland areas, National Trust places, ponds etc. and other places of interest and learning, or arrange to meet up with other childminders so the children can socialize, build relationship with peers and have lots of fun.
My main aim is to provide a safe and fun setting, whilst giving children every opportunity to try new experiences, socialize, go on outings and learn and develop through play and arts and crafts.
My Experience
I have over 16 years experience of working as a childminder and have either been awarded 'Good' or 'Outstanding' by Ofsted for all Inspection I have had over the years. I have also worked voluntarily in local schools and as a trainee teacher at an infant school.
My Qualifications
I am Level 3 qualified as a childminder and Level 6 qualified as a teacher and have Qualified Teacher Status.
I have also undertaken Child Protection and Safeguarding training, Behaviour Management, Manual Handling, Health and Safety in the Workplace, First Aid training, Food Hygiene training.
I love arts and crafts and have undertaken various recreational courses arts and craft courses.
My Availability
I will have a full day space in September for an over 2 year old on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
My Fees
- Childminding from £6.20 per hour
- Babysitting from £11.00 per hour

My daughter has just moved on from Jocelyn having started secondary school. She was with Jocelyn for 4 years and I cannot recommend her enough. She is amazing and really cares for all children in her setting. She is so much more than a childminder, she is an extension to our family and has provided the most wonderful, supportive, encouraging care to our daughter. Her family are just as wonderful and welcoming. I never ever had any need to worry while my daughter was in her care. The setting is perfect, impeccably clean, home cooked food and she is so easy to talk to. I honestly cannot recommend her enough.

Jocelyn came highly recommended to me by several mums, so was thrilled when she had space for my son. He settled with Jocelyn immediately, as she provides a safe, clean, friendly, and fun environment for the children she cares for. My son loves his time with Jocelyn and I’d whole heartedly recommend Jocelyn to anyone.

My children have been going to Jocelyn before and after school for over 6 months now, post Covid, and they have really enjoyed being a part of her setting. We moved to Jocelyn after using another local childminder for over 6 years and although we knew Jocelyn, it was still an unknown and we were hoping the move across would still be smooth and straightforward. We have been delighted so far! Jocelyn is easy to deal with, clearly communicates with us as parents, sets clear boundaries and expectations for the children to adhere and live up to and apparently cooks a mean chicken casserole! Her proximity to school means the kids get a nice walk to and from school each day and they’re lucky enough to have friends who also count Jocelyn as their childminder which enhances their sense of belonging and community whilst at her setting.
