My aim is to provide a service that cares for boys and girls aged 0 – 12 years in a caring home setting. I want children to feel that this is a home from home, an environment where they will feel safe, happy and settled at all times. Having had three children myself - including twins I know how hard it is to leave your children and I pride myself on providing a caring service, tailored to the needs of both parents and child.
My family consists of my husband, myself and our three children. All children attend Danescourt primary school, which is 100 metres from our front door. ( I am available for drop offs). We are located just off Llantrisant road. Our house is detached with a lovely garden full of toys. The rooms are spacious and full of activities for children of all ages. When children are in my care we will have regular trips to parks, play areas, libraries, toddler groups and the local shops. We are a non -smoking family who converse in English.
I was a teacher for 14 years, working first in Secondary and finishing the last three years in primary education, specialising in early years provision. I am happy to provide the 30 hours free childcare offer and tax free childcare vouchers.
My Experience
I am a mum of three (including twins) and was a teacher for 14 years, before retraining as a childminder. I have had much experience through nursery teaching in dealing with children with a range of needs. I am happy to gain further training to support any child in my care.
My Qualifications
Level 3 Children's Care, Play, Learning and Development (childminder unit)
Level 3 award in Paediatric first aid
Level 2 in food safety and hygiene for early years settings
Level 3 Safeguarding children
Behaviour management
Currently working towards a forest school qualification
PGCE Secondary Music
My Availability
I am available term time only, but can provide occasional holiday cover if needed. My working hours are 7.30- 5 but I do have some flexibility here if needed

Anabel has looked after my LO since she was a baby. She quickly settled in and Anabel was so supportive during this early stage. There is always lots going on. Whether it's trips out or activities in the garden or home, Anabel is always considerate of the child's needs. We get regular updates and briefings on how the day went and food eaten etc she is always honest with us. She has supported us loads with any issues or advice we've needed. Just an allround STAR!!!!

My LO has been with Annabel since he was 19 months old and I couldn’t ask for a better childminder. She is kind and caring and nothing is too much trouble; my LO has been treated as if he is her own child. She has supported us through different development stages. She has a fantastic setting (both inside the house and the garden) but also takes him out to plenty of different places. Her communication is excellent with reports on how he is doing each day. Highly recommended.
