Degree educated, experienced nanny. Hi, my name is Andrea, I am reliable, friendly and trustworthy. I have been a nanny for over 20 years. I love spending time with children, and I am lucky to have a career based on this. I have been working part-time for a family for over 10 years from when the children were 4 and 6 months old. I am well organised, always arrive at work on time, and am flexible if a family needs me to start earlier or stay later on occasions. I am a tidy person, so at the end of my working day, it is natural for me to tidy and clear away ready for when parents arrive home. I am very adaptable to a families needs.
My Experience
I started with my first family when their son was 6 months old, another son was born shortly afterwards and I stayed with this family for almost five years. I have worked as a mothers help and as a sole charge nanny for several families. I take children out to soft play, gymnastics, toddler groups, parks, farms and playgrounds. It's good to get outside when the weather allows! Also nice to spend time at home with the children, reading, playing games, baking and so on. Other aspects of my work include school runs, cooking fresh meals, helping with homework, helping with children's laundry, general tidying and occasional vacuuming. I have experience with all ages of children, from new born up to teenagers. I have a degree in psychology. I have also been a teaching assistant and have worked with children since I was a teenager. I am OFSTED registered, which includes a DBS check and all the relevant insurances. I update my first aid with St John Ambulance every three years, as is the requirement. I have looked after children with allergies. I have excellent references from previous employers.
My Qualifications
I am OFSTED registered, which includes paediatric first aid and a DBS check. I have a degree in Psychology and over 20 years experience as a nanny with children from new born upwards. I have excellent references.
My Availability
I am looking for a full day, Thursday or Friday. Maybe both for the right position.

I can accept payment through the government tax free child care scheme and child care vouchers as I am OFSTED registered.

'A' has worked with my family for the past five years and I hope she will still be with us in another five!
Now that the children are in full time education, she works part time for us.
'A' joined us when my third child was 6 months old and her role was to care for her while I was at work and look after my then 4 year old when he wasn't at pre school (and later school). Her role involves cooking for the children, dealing with laundry and generally keeping all things children in order!
'A' is super reliable and an important part of our family life but in a none intrusive way. She is kind and caring with the children and they respect that she is "in charge" when they are with her. She plays imaginatively and creatively with them and always prioritses their needs.
In summary, 'A' was an amazing find (on here, in fact!) and us a fantastic nanny. A real asset!

If you are looking for a fabulous nanny for your children, then look no further. 'A' has looked after our children on a full time, part time and babysitting basis over a number of years and I am eternally grateful to her for such excellent care. They were at primary school when we first started employing 'A' and she still helps us out with 'sitting' and holiday cover despite them now being at secondary school.
Our kids adore her. She is kind, calm, funny, patient, happy to plays hours of games, help with with reading, homework, cook their meals, assist with laundry... we could go on... - as a working mum I could not have asked for a better fit for our family. Firm but fun, always reliable, she has excellent time-keeping and is a very careful driver. She never let me down. She also has experience of looking after children with severe food allergies and asthma, and is able to administer an epipen and this was an invaluable and added necessity for us.
'A' has proved to be so wonderful with our kids, that she has since also been asked to babysit or provide holiday cover for a large number of our friends with babies and school age children. Testament to being such a reliable and lovely lady.
'A' came recommended to me by a close friend for whom she had nannied for a number of years, looking after their three children. Over the early years we had au pairs, nannies and maternity nurses. None come close. 'A' is very special and one of a kind. We consider ourselves extremely lucky to have found her and would recommend her without hesitation to any family looking for a first class nanny.
