My Experience

I decided on a career in childcare when I finished secondary school and from there went on to study a childcare course at college where I obtained my NNEB which now would be equal to level 3 . I have two children myself so have experience of parenting too. I have covered every aspect of childcare from health/dentist appointments, social activities, wardrobe management , meal planning and prep, weening, development encouragement, educational activities, baby groups, schooling including homework support and school/nursery runs, nursery duties including laundry . I work well alone aswell as with household staff when required and use my initiative to follow the needs of the children in my care. I am able to provide fun activities which also help the children learn whilst playing adapting to the ever changing needs of the children in my care. I like to attend playgroups, music sessions or other activities with the children as well as giving them time to relax at home too. My experience covers newborn upwards and includes twin experience and as a parent I am still working to support my older children so feel I have covered all ages up to adulthood.

Experienced in sleep training, weening, potty/toilet training and everything already mentioned. I have a wide knowledge of medical intervention mainly due to experience through the years but also added to by my daughters medical needs which have been complex. I offer advice and support where requested and can help to implement any changes necessary in the daily routine of the children in my care, working with the family to achieve the goal.

I am looking for a part time nanny position, perhaps even short term cover should existing care have an illness or holiday. Ideally for me 2 days per week for ongoing work. I am open to considering options so please get in touch. I have completed many first aid courses over the years though have not got a current first aid certificate. I have also had many dbs checks too and would be willing to do another should the family request.


Pay is to be discussed upon interview and would of course depend on the role and duties required and should be discussed once this is clear. I usually work on a self employed.
