NOT ABLE TO WORK AT THE MOMENT
* Happy to travel (Experience in UK, Spain, UAE)
Are you having a baby? I would love to help you and your baby to have the best start.
My name is Cristina, I'm warm, kind and truly care about all “my babies”. I'm in love with my job and feel very lucky to help new parents to have the best start. I’m very positive person, feeling very happy and competent around babies and always trying to update on my free time to continue my training (there is always something new to learn)
Experience working with high profile families and fully staffed houses as a maternity nurse, nanny and school teacher for over 12 years, having experience with new born twins, triplets and children up to 12 years old.
I have a deep interest in the individual learning and personalities of children, as not all the children are the same. I believe in a good and gentle routine where daily situations, meal times, nap times, bath time, etc. are structured but always happy to adapt my practice to suit the parent’s beliefs and needs, as they are the most important part in a child's life.
My aim as a Maternity Nurse by the time I leave your home is that you as a new parents feel happy and confident enough to look after your baby without any help. Of course I’m always happy to discuss any worries you may have after I left.
I offer my services as a Maternity Nurse helping parents looking for a support in your home after the birth of your child/ren during the first few weeks, to ensure a pleasant journey for everyone involved.
My duties involve:
- Practical help with care of the baby/s (winding, nappy changing, bathing, dressing/undressing, settling to sleep)
- Information and support with infant feeding (whether breast, formula or mixed feeding)
- Assist you in stablishing a good and gentle routine adequate for you and your baby as not all the babies or families have the same needs.
- Setting up sleeping patterns and caring for the baby thought the night if you need, so you can get a good night sleep.
- Sterilizing and making up the bottles for your baby if you are bottle feeding or expressing milk.
- Teach you safety and hygiene around the baby.
- Proxy parenting if you need to travel during my booking.
I'm a member of the UK Maternity Nurse Association.

More than 12 years experience as a nanny, Maternity Nurse and a teacher.
I have New Born, twins and triplets experience.
I've worked abroad in Middle East and Europe, happy to travel.

We employed Cristina Grau from the 26th January to the 26 February as maternity nurse for our newborn, Rupert (born on 20 January).
Cristina has been amazing at helping us settle with Rupert ensuring he is fed correctly (including breast feeding), has a sleep routine and is constantly engaged. Within a short space of time, not only has Cristina been able to implement these routines successfully, but has educated both myself and my wife so that when she leaves we will have a better understanding of how to care for and interact with him.
While we read up on childcare during the pregnancy, we quickly realised that there was a huge amount of information and advice which often contradicted each other. Cristina brings reassurance and confidence to any questions, ranging from general high level care of the child to the detail including room temperature, setting up the baby monitor and car seat, things we have never actually had to do.
With breastfeeding specifically, my wife had a traumatic experience breastfeeding due to bad guidance from the midwives at hospital. Cristina was able to help her slowly and successfully restart breastfeeding and incorporate this into our schedule.
With Rupert, she is caring and shows him so much affection, constantly playing with him and teaching him (advising on books, doing tummy time, etc). We could not ask for a more perfect maternity nurse for him and he adores her.
Living with Cristina has been a pleasure - she has a great personality and everyone who has met her, warms to her instantly. Most importantly, it has been easy - she is never too in your face and knows when to give you private time with the child but is always on hand should you need it.
I have no qualms about recommending Cristina to anyone having or have had a child. We could not wish for a better start to Rupert's life.
Cristina spent two weeks with our 3 week old baby. I couldn't recommend her enough, she was an absolute star. Our little boy loved spending time with Cristina and she was very easy to have around. She is extremely knowledgeable and taught us so many valuable tips. We couldn't have managed without her!
Cristina lived with us for four weeks as a round the clock maternity nurse, caring for me and our new born baby. She is a truely lovely and loving person and adapted to our family in a relaxed and easy way.
As well as being professional and highly experienced, Cristina is calm, confident and happy. She gently introduced much needed organisation and order into my daily routine. Although the baby is my third, I learnt so much from Cristina and gained a new level of confidence in managing his needs. I feel incredibly lucky to have found her and highly recommend her, although I'd really like to keep her myself forever!!
Cristina is really special. Her enthusiasm about childcare shine through immediately upon meeting, and she is such a cheerful, caring person. We initially intended to utilise her as a part-time nanny, but circumstances changed and this was no longer possible, so used her as babysitter occasionally- and will continue to do so.
I had no qualms about leaving my newborn with her whatsoever.
Cristina came over for a night to look after my 7 weeks baby, in order to allow me to catch some sleep...She was excellent in attending to my baby's needs. She was charming, funny and always in good mood, even though it was a though night for us all as my baby wasn't feeling well that night. She enjoys being around my baby and seem to put her heart into her work. I definitely recommend her as a nanny or a babysitter!!!
