My Summary
About Me
I have been a OFSTED registered childminder for 7 years, I de-registered 2 year ago, and while I’ve taken a break from childminding, I have picked up tons more experience by working in a children’s home. However I feel the time is right to re register with OFSTED. I am currently awaiting re registration which is due to be completed in April, (2026)
I have a long list of qualifications and experience, Throughout my 7 years of childminding I maintained a GOOD in all areas, from my OFSTED inspections,
I offer a home from home environment where children will learn, grow, play and have lots of fun, I live in a large house in monk Bretton, I do drive and may be able to offer a collect and drop off service,
As well as a fully equipped large indoor play room, i also have a large secure back garden with grass and decking areas for children to explore numerous activities outside, The front garden is due to have a makeover to create a large Astroturf space for swings slides trampoline and football nets.
I have a wide range of toys and educational resources for all ages, we have lots of day trips out, soft play, farms visits, parks and wood walks,
Availability for full and part time spaces also before and after school spaces.

My Experience
I have a wide range of experience with children, i have been a Ofsted registered childminder for 7 years, i have also worked in a Childrens home however the most valuable experience I have is that with my own children,
My Qualifications
I have variety of qualifications from paediatric first aid, safeguarding and SENCO to EYFS and phonics,
My Fees
- Childminding from £7.00 per hour
- Babysitting from £10.00 per hour
Hours worked are 7.00am until 7pm, however I am flexible, please contact me for early mornings and evenings

- I provide drop offs and pick ups at Holy Trinity
- I provide drop offs and pick ups at Athersley South Primary School

Katie is a absolutely amazing person, she revolves her life around the children in her care, she goes above and beyond and uses her own personal money to buy excessive amounts of indoor and outdoor toys so the children never get board, she takes them on many outings throughout the holidays such as cannon hall, bowling, play centres and jump all costing her perhaps more than she earns, but it pleases her to know the children are happy. My daughter absolutely loves katie so much that she called her auntie, she is more like family to us, I couldn't thank her enough for all that she has done for our family,

My son attended Katie’s for over 2 years before he started school, She made us feel at ease with the whole settling in period, I would receive photos and messages to reassure me that he was happy and settled as he was initially upset when I left him the first few days,
After he settled He hated leaving at the end of the day, He absolutely loved Katie, she treats all the children in her care like she does her own, nothing is too much trouble, she helped us out so many times going out of her way when we was really struggling, she was so flexible and helpful and very approachable, I could clearly see all the children loved spending time there, and I saw parents having the same problems I did at home time, they just wanted to stay, if anyone is in the situation I was and worried about using childcare, Katie is definitely the one to help,
I would without a doubt send my next child/ren to Katie,

Katie looks after my 2 1/2 year old little girl and she loves her to bit. I know while ever she is with her i have no worries and feel at ease.
She is very welcoming and interacts amazing with children, always doing activities and having fun. And always having the children's needs at heart.
Mini explorers is flexible and reliable and I would recommend to anyone and once ive had my baby and do return to work i will be sending my new little girl there.
