About Me
I have been childminding now for over 16 years. I have two adult children of my own and one friendly dog. I have a secure garden and there is a local park nearby, various planned activities for both indoors and out and lots of play equipment to use in both areas
My Experience
I became a childminder in 2006 . I offer a high quality of childcare and a happy friendly environment where children can play and learn safely.
I promote the Early Years Foundation stage.
My Qualifications
I have attained qualifications in First aid, safeguarding children.
My Availability
Normal Opening Hours 7.30am - 9am & 3.15pm – 5pm. Term time only. Times can be altered due to each individual needs. School drop and pick up Merry Hill and Ashfields

Rachel is an amazing childminder who has looked after both my girls. She is flexible and helped us with our needs. My girls adore her and are always excited to go to hers.

My daughter has been with Rachel for almost a year now and we have noticed her developments within that time. Rachel shows great energy with her and is very accommadting with our needs. A person who really impresses us with her professionalism and care for my daughter.

Rachel is a kind, caring and compassionate childminder who clearly cares for the children and young people she looks after. My daughter took a while to settle in and Rachel was understanding and new exactly what to do. My job hours change all the time and my husband has changed jobs a couple of times over the past two years and Rachel has been overly accommodating and flexible.
My daughter has a great time and enjoy the variety of activities, if she is hesitant about going one day Rachel always knows the right thing to say to her and she goes off happily.
Highly recommend her to anyone from either baby/toddler care during the day to after school care.

My daughter began her school life staying with Rachel after school in reception for four days and as she grew the time she spent increased.
Unfortunately she had separation anxiety for a long time and Rachel managed this really well enabling me to function at work knowing she was really cared for. I would echo other Parent's comments regarding gaining another member of the family as living so close allowed a degree of flexibility and communication that I know other friends could not arrange with their childminders. Now my daughter is in senior school, but she had a fun, supportive and safe environment to be in before and after school for her entire primary schooling thanks to Rachel and her family.

Rachel was the only person we saw when our son was 16 months old. I was very anxious about leaving my son but the 1st time but when we met Rachel we knew she was the right person to take care of our son. Rachel has always cared for our son just the way we do. Rachel isn't our just our childminder she is a part of our family. When our son was small she took him to different groups at the local children centre's always did arts and crafts and encouraged his learning development with his fine and gross motor skills, speech development etc. She supported us through key stages in our son's life e.g Potty training, starting school etc. Rachel did a few settling in sessions over 2 weeks and then had our son full time from 17 months old up until he started full time school where she now picks him up from.Rachel and her family are apart of our exteneded family. They have always cared for our son as if he were their own child and we can not thank her enough for taking the stress of worrying about your child when your at work away from us. Our son has allergies and Rachel has always managed her food preparation exceptionally and manages his allergies. Rachel although not looking after our son full time now still supports our son through his schooling. She is always so happy to find out how well our son is doing at school and extra curriculum actvities. Our son loves Rachel and her family so much. You don't just get a childminder with Rachel, you gain a new family and peace of mind that your child is being looked after to an exceptionally high standard.
