Our son was looked after Kelly for 2.5 years between the aged of 15 months to 3.5 years. The progress he has made during this time has been remarkable and we’ve been delighted with the quality of care and education he has received in this time.
Initially, our son settled very quickly with Kelly. The settling-in sessions were brilliant and Kelly provided any necessary comfort to him if he experienced any separation anxiety. However, there were no issues with settling in, as Kelly helped him to feel at ease right away. She got to know him and his interests and would tailor activities to suit both his developmental stage, interests and ability.
The range of activities and experiences he has had during his time with Kelly has been fantastic. There are themed weeks where children explore an element of education in a multitude of ways. This was always communicated home very clearly so that we could support this learning too. In addition to this, Kelly has made sure that our son has had experiences with libraries, community hubs, museums, parks and playgrounds.
Food provided by Kelly has always been nutritious and in-line with government guidance whilst also being something our son has enjoyed. She has ensured that when he required a nap, he was provided an ample opportunity and space for it and she dealt with all needs required to changing and medication with the utmost professionalism.
Kelly is a warm, conscientious, creative and nurturing childminder. I would recommend her to any parent looking for childcare. We will miss her enormously.
