About Me
I am an Ofsted registered childminder in Haxby with a level 3 qualification in childcare. I live with my husband Adam and 2 beautiful children Amber aged 10 and Harvey aged 8yrs old.
I offer a home from home environment and care for children from birth to 14yrs old. You can drop your children with me on a morning and I will take them to school/nursery for you, currently dropping off and collecting from Headlands Primary school and Haxby playgroups but other venues can be catered for.
I can collect your children from school and look after them until you collect, a healthy evening meal can also be provided.
My working hours are negotiable, I can start work earlier than 7am and later than 6pm if you need me to......!!!!
I accept 2,3 & 4yr old 15 hours of funding.
My Experience
Level 3 in childcare. 10yrs experience as a mother of 2 lively children.
Many years experience with looking after nieces/nephews and friends children.
My Qualifications
Paediatric first aid trained, current and up to date
Safeguarding course via the City of York Council
Cypop 5 training via NCMA required by Ofsted and the City of York Council
Fully insured as a childminder
CRB enhanced checks on myself and my husband
Level 3 diploma in childcare
My Availability
Spaces available including the space for a baby.

My 2 boys have been with Carrie for over a year now and they love her. She does different activities with them and they always enjoy being there. Carrie has helped with the ongoing development of my children including learning numbers, colours and also potty training. They are always provided with a home cooked healthy meal. Her house is always clean and tidy and she has a brilliant playroom which is safe and full of toys and activities. My youngest son has some special learning needs and Carrie has worked closely with me and has adapted his care to help him massively. Carrie is friendly and approachable and makes me feel like i'm leaving my children with a friend not just a childminder. I would recommend her to anyone.
Overall
My son has been with Carrie since he was 5 months old (he's now nearly 2). She has provided excellent care for him. He looks forward to going to Carrie's every morning and is happy to be there. She is great about taking the children to the park on sunny days and providing fun things to do around the house as well. There is a super playroom in the house for the kids to play and a big back garden.
Carrie is fantastic with communicating with me and is extremely reliable. I can recommend Carrie's Childcare wholeheartedly for anyone who is looking for the best childminder in York!
