Our son was with Emily and her family from approximately 9 months to 3 years old. In this time he has developed into a happy little boy who is resilient, confident and charismatic, and this is in no small part due to Emily’s care and attention.

Over the last couple of years we have seen Emily and her family of an extension of our own, and it has been great seeing our son develop and grow in both confidence and life skills as a result of being around Emily, her husband, and her children.

She keeps children engaged and active through a variety of activities which children find fun whilst also learning valuable skills. It is greatly appreciated that our son always came home tired and happy at the end of the day! Emily supplemented this by keeping us well informed of our son’s development as well as his day to day activities, ensuring we are connected and aware of how he was doing and what he was working on. Emily is extremely personable and it has also been really beneficial tapping into her lived experience as both a parent and childminder to assist us in helping our son develop and flourish both in the learning environment and at home. She has not only helped our son, but has aided us in being more confident as parents.

We are extremely grateful to have come across Emily and her lovely family, and are sad to be leaving her care to move on to preparing our son for school. He still asks about her even though he has recently left, however the biggest credit to her is that in his new setting he has received glowing feedback from staff for how easily and quickly he has adapted, settled in and created new relationships - Emily has played a crucial role in enabling this by building his confidence and aiding his development by creating a home away from home where he can safely test his skills and learn.

We would not hesitate in recommending Emily and her family to others. She has given our son a great foundation in life to build upon.
