About Me

Hi my name is Susan Yates. I am a mother of 3 Adult children whom have all left home now. I have been an Ofsted registered child minder with a (GOOD) grade for 9 years and I love my job as it is so rewarding, seeing the children in my care learn and develop as the play and have fun while making friends.

I am a fun, loving, caring, honest, approachable and nurturing person. I love spending time with children and I sometimes have my grandchildren at the weekends, taking them out and watching them grow and develop into wonderful young people. .

I have a great selection of age appropriate toys and dressing up clothes which will encourage children to learn and develop in different ways. A huge selection of books, painting and crafts. I have a lovely garden filled with flowers where the children can look for bugs and watch wild birds. I have a variety of outdoor toys and resources including a sand pit, water play, ball pit, slide, pop-up tents where children can read books and get in to roll play, water slide and paddling pool and a mud kitchen.

There are a few drop in centres which I take the children to. These hold some lovely activities for children where they will have the chance to meet and play with other children of their own age.

Ruskin park is about a 10 min walk away and there are lots of other parks such as Dulwich, Peckham and Burgess park to name but a few. There is also a wildlife centre around the corner from me, the children love exploring the pond for Tadpoles.

All my training is up to date and i have all certificates in my folder at home for you to see.

The P13 bus stop is next to my house. East dulwich train station is a 5 minutes walk and Peckham Rye and Hern Hill Train station is a 10 minute walk.
