Gabriela spent time with Lana from September to July, and it was her very first experience being cared for by someone outside our family and away from home. Both Gabriela and we as parents were positively surprised by the warm, safe and homely atmosphere Lana created in her home.

Gabriela absolutely loved spending time in Lana’s garden, and we really appreciated the balanced, home-cooked meals she provided. Lana also planned many days with additional outings and activities, which made Gabriela’s time there varied, enjoyable and stimulating.

Lana is a very warm and caring person, while also having clear boundaries and routines. It wasn’t just about playing — Gabriela learned to count to 10 and recognise colours during her time there. We were really happy with the progress she made.

Gabriela was always happy when we dropped her off and, quite often, she would ask why I had come to pick her up so quickly! That was probably the best sign of how much she enjoyed being there.

We also really appreciated Lana’s flexibility. There was never an issue with changing a day or adjusting the pick-up time when needed, which made everything much easier for us as a family.

We are genuinely very happy with the few months Gabriela spent with Lana. We feel that she gave her a wonderful start before moving on to nursery. The homely environment and smaller number of children were absolutely ideal for Gabriela’s first experience away from home.

We would highly recommend Lana to any family looking for a caring, warm and supportive childminder.
