About Me
Hi, my name is Penny. I have been a registered childminder for 22 years. I have a full time vacancy (Monday to Friday 8am-6pm) from September 2025. I accept the 30 hours funded childcare (no additional charge for the funded hours). I live in a 3 bedroom house 3 minutes walk from Nunhead BR station and 6 min from Queens Road Peckham BR station, both with very quick access to Central London. My setting is a home from home where we have loads of fun singing, dancing, snuggling up reading, playing outside making pretend campfires with sticks we collect (also vacuuming, fishing and watering with same sticks). I have toys appropriate for all age groups and abilities and a garden full of toys (trikes, scooters, see-saw, playhouse, sand/water table etc). I cook delicious, nutritious food for lunch every day and only offer healthy snacks. Contact me for a chat, a visit or for further information.
My Experience
22 years childminding experience .
Degree in Maths and Science and I am a qualified computer programmer.
Level 3 Diploma "Children and the Young People's Workforce".
My Qualifications
Ofsted inspected childminder with all the checks and certificates (CRB, Health and Hygiene inspection, Paediatric First Aid, safeguarding).
Level 3 Diploma in "Children and the Young People's Workforce".
I speak English and Danish fluently and speak/understand French and German at a basic level:-)

Penny is a fantastic childminder! She respects and nurtures all of the children she looks after and in her care my daughter has grown into a confident and kind person. From her home-cooked meals to cuddles on tap, Penny offers love every day. My daughter is so chatty and her emotional intelligence is incredible and much of that is thanks to how Penny encourages positive interactions with and between the children. My daughter has thrived in Penny’s care and I can’t thank her enough!

My son has been with Penny since just after he turned 1, he is now about to turn 4 and he absolutely loves being in her care. Every morning he asks “are we going to Penny’s house?” (Even on the weekend 🤣). He’s my only child so I was nervous when choosing childcare, but picking Penny was by far the best decision I could have made. He’s learned so much and everyday he comes home impressing me with something new Penny has taught him...He is so confident and such a character and Penny fully encourages him to be the free spirited child and embraces him expressing his personality. Penny has so much patience and love for all the children she cares for...we love her so much, when he starts school in September we will continue with after school care...she’s not just a childminder at this point, she like part of our family.

Penny has looked after our toddler for over a year and my 10 month baby has just started with her.
Both girls love her and our toddler has totally thrived in her care this past year. Penny is warm, caring, bright and fun. The kids enjoy lots of different activities and lots of fresh air. They look forward to their Fridays with Penny and are always full of beans when we pick them up. Pennys a brilliant childminder we can't recommend her highly enough.

Penny is fantsatic with our little one! He jumps into her arms when he arrives and loves the day a week he spends with her. Couldn't recommend more highly.

Both my children ( 4.5 yrs and 18months) have been with Penny since they were 6 months old. Rocky is now at school but does some after school days still with Penny and Juno still goes with open arms :)
I run my own business with my husband so it was important for us to find someone who could offer a home from home environment for the children giving them a secure and happy home to enjoy the first few years of life. When we first met Penny she had siblings in her care as well as older children that had been in her care in the past that would return from across or outside London just to say hi. For me this was a huge indication of the impact that her love and care has on the families she works with. Rocky and Juno love their time with her. She nurtures in a fair and caring way. She does activities and enjoys the outdoors come rain or shine and she adores them. I would highly highly recommend her.
