My name is Kayleigh. I live in Sudbury, Suffolk.
I have 2 daughters of my own, my eldest was born in 2009 and my youngest was born in 2012.
I currently work in an office 8-3 and am home by 4, after my own school run.
I love reading, animals (cats are my fav!), cleaning and organising, arts and crafts activities, working, driving places, shopping and just being with my girls.
Although I am not currently working within the childcare sector, I have years of experience working in nursery settings, being a childminders assistant and lots of ad-hoc babysitting.
There is nothing more important to me than knowing my daughters would be in good, trusting hands when I leave them with someone, so rest assured I am trustworthy, protective, reliable and treat all children as if they were my own.
My Experience
As I have my own children, I am very experienced with nappy changing, feeding, soothing, training, teaching all sorts, weaning, getting dressed and general care and love that consists when bringing up children.
In nursery settings, I mainly worked with the pre-school age group, which involved playing, reading stories, cleaning up, doing art & crafts activities, putting them down for naps, helping them to eat and lots more.
When I worked at a childminders setting, which is a business run from home, I and a few other members of staff would look after up to 16 kids. Every day was about routine, even when we took them on outings. I would play with the children, set up and carry out different activities for different age groups, feed them, put them down for naps, changed their clothes and/or nappies, soothed them when they were upset and praised them when they did something good or new. I also did other things like tidy up the playroom and garden and organise toys, games, puzzles, etc. I also planned most activities in advance for the coming weeks. I would occasionally do school pick ups and when other members of staff were on the school run, I would be left in charge.
My Qualifications
NVQ Level 2 in Childcare
DBS dated 2019
Plenty of experience, first and second hand. Which is just as important as any qualification, if you ask me!
My Availability
My current availability is anytime after 4pm Mon - Thu. All day Friday and anytime on weekends. Overnight is possible, but please message to discuss this.
