Hi my name is Sarah and I am an Ofsted Registered Childminder living in the Bramingham/Limbury area of Luton. My home is a safe, child-friendly environment with a large garden, filled with a huge variety of indoor and outdoor toys and equipment for children of all ages. I live near several parks and nature walks, sports and community facilities, including a library.
I genuinely enjoy spending time with children, have a good imagination and sense of fun, and am totally motivated to facilitate learning and exploration of the world. My focus is on the development and welfare of any child in my care through educational and play sessions. I also believe that good, open communication with parents helps provide stability and continuity for each child.
I live with my daughter (17) and we also have a family Dog, he is a hypoallergenic Cavachon who is gentle and loves playing with the children.
I have worked with children in various settings for over 20years. Upon leaving school I went to work in a nursery, from there I nannied privately for families in their own homes. After having my daughter I then registered as a child minder.
After being a working mother for the first three years of my daughter life I understand it isn't easy juggling work and family.

Well what can I say about Sarah...She has just finished looking after our 11 year old and 3 year old and we miss her already!
Sarah provided a home from home environment where my son has been given nutritional food as well as baking some treats (that we all got to enjoy too)! Freddie has also learned so much, had lots of age appropriate toys to help with his learning, went to rhyme time at the library weekly, had plenty of exercise and went on lots of fun trips.
Having Sarah to look after our children whilst I worked has left me without any worry as I know she would always look after them like they were her own!
If my son wasn't moving to nursery then school we would never leave Sarah!
Thank you for being such a positive influence in their lives.
When returning to work I was extremely lucky, one of the things I didn’t have to worry about was childcare, finding the right person I could and would trust with my child’s life. I knew Sarah and had had been lucky enough to see her in action in her working environment. So it was a real no brainier for me. We all know about the dreaded mummy guilt that infiltrates our brains daily, leaving Beau with Sarah, we whilst I went out to work was the one thing that didnt trigger it, I knew that Beau was in great hands, a person u can trust along with a great environment,Beau got plenty of excercise, play, social activity, food, drinks and Sarah was really involved and cared about her development. Infact the only bad thing about It is when you rush out of work to pick your baby up, ready for great big cuddles and kisses and when you turn up at the door your baby is quite content to continue doing what he/she is doing !!!!
I can not recommend Sarah enough, she’s flexible for shift workers within her working times. Is open to last min change when really needed. Sarah’s keeps us updated very well of activities and any changes. Also lovely pictures of our child playing and learning. Our 3 year old daughter adores her and her family. She has learned a lot from sarah, educationally and how to behave out and about. Her eating improved as Sarah’s meal (included in the price) are fantastic and Alice loves them. I can’t fault this childcare setting. Such a warm and welcoming home and is clear Sarah is dedicated to her setting. Alice always comes come happy, forfilled and tidy. We are moving location so have to leave Sarah. We are so sad we can’t take Sarah with us.
Sarah cares for my 2 daughters 4 days a week, for the last year. I have found Sarah to be very approachable and easy to explain any issues with, be it one of my girls having a bad morning or to one of them forgetting their book bag!
Sarah has formed a fantastic relationship with my daughters, my eldest is very shy with new people, and I was a bit worried about her starting in a new setting. But I needn't have worried as she settled straight in and has really come out of herself in the short time she has been attending the setting.
Sarah always has activities for the children to do, with a wide range of toys, games and garden activities. She attends the library and local play centres and parks. My youngest daughter even learnt how to read simple words before she started school with Sarah's help and dedication.
The fee's are extremely reasonable considering everything that is included.
All in all, I am safe in the knowledge that as soon as I leave my daughters before heading off to work, that they will be cared for in an extremely professional yet family orientated way.
I fully recommend Sarah as a childminder,
Sarah has looked after Isaiah for over a year now. He found it very difficult to leave me at first, which concerned me alot and I was thinking have I done the right thing? Sarah worked amazingly with both of us! And help us both deal with this. Sarah learnt very quickly how to deal with isaiah which was amazing to see. She knew how to calm him down and make him feel at ease. What really helped was the book Sarah made for him. This book was filled with pictures of all the fun things him and Sarah would do at her house. He loves reading it and loves showing other family members his "Sarah book" Sarah is very approachable and nothing is a problem. Her main focus is to make sure isaiah is happy and benefiting from what she has organised for him. When ever I was concerned about him she would send me a quick little picture so I could see him smiling. Which was so reassuring.
Isaiah was very shy and his speech wasn't great either. He has come on leaps and bounds. His confidents has improved massively. He has learnt so much being with Sarah.
He makes some amazing little bits at her house. Always going for little walks and doing something exciting.
I have a younger son as well who I would also love Sarah to look after as well very soon!
