5 Star Nanny

Reviewed

Liz has been taking care of our son Sean since he was 9 months old (he is now 27 months old) when I returned to full time work after maternity leave. We have found Liz to be a complete ‘lifesaver’ for us. I was very torn with the idea about leaving my little baby for all day with a stranger, but after meeting Liz and her gorgeous daughter who is the same age as my son, I could see how passionate she was about children and how she would treat my son like her own when he was in her care. I went through all the important checks (past employersm Ofsted reg, CRB, first aid certificates etc) and was very comfortable to welcome her to look after Sean. Since we have hired Liz, we have found her to be reliable, punctual, caring, full of common sense, energetic and just a very nice person to be around, my son still smiles every morning when she arrives for the day. She plans the week in advance (Monday – feed ducks in park, Tuesday play date with a neighbouring mom and children etc) and the weeks dinners/lunches and we discuss anything that I would like her to try. She has been very supportive helping our son who can be a tricky eater to develop a good relationship with food and he is now I am happy to say and independent feeder and will generally try the different types of foods that Liz suggests for him. Liz is very attentive when it comes to sickness, does not take any risks and only recently noticed that my son had developed a temperature and was ‘not really himself’ and when she couldn’t get hold of me or my husband in work, phoned 111 and had a paramedic come to check on him (he had a bad virus but was fine in the end). The only reason that Liz is now looking for another job is that I am pregnant again and will be going on maternity leave in March, I would love to keep Liz on for 2 days a week if possible but obviously she has to prioritise finding a full time job. So it is with great sadness that I write this reference ?
Happy to message anyone directly who needs a verbal reference for Liz.
