I am a qualified, creative, loving, calm, dedicated, and highly experienced English nanny. I see small humans holistically, empathetically, and positively.
I love to give children varied enjoyable and educational options regularly, especially within their interests and developmental stage. I am resourceful and know of many practical ways of engaging the minds and bodies of little ones. I highly regard child-led creative play and hands-on activities.
I take little ones out once or twice per day to playgrounds, nature reserves, playgroups, rhyme sessions, play dates, sport/dance classes, libraries, and soft play centres that are available locally. I check the weather forecast daily and make sure that we are prepared for each outing, which often includes waterproofs.
I try my best to give children the environment, information and support needed to empower them to choose safe and respectful actions as soon as they are ready. I am sensitive to how much control is needed to keep a child safe and feel emotionally supported while giving them space and time to experience and discover things for themselves.
I cook nutritious meals from scratch and follow the parents preferences for their children. I prepare healthy snacks for mid morning and afternoon. I am happy to take the initiative by doing family laundry and keeping the kitchen clean and the children's things tidy.
I have enjoyed caring for young children for 14 years at nurseries and in the children's homes. For a decade, I've been a mostly sole charge nanny with shared care with the parents sprinkled in. My specialty and favourite age group to care for is toddlers. Also, I enjoy and have experience working with babies and older children.
I gained an A in a Childcare and Education level 3 diploma (a two year, full-time college course, which qualifies me to care for and educate children from birth to age eight).
Recently I did a short course, Montessori in the Home for Children 3-6 YO. I have completed many 12 hour, paediatric first aid courses and will keep doing so every 3 years. I have recently renewed my DBS check, which always comes back squeaky clean.
I understand the basics and have experience of the Montessori method, Steiner early years education, the Reggio Emilia approach, heuristic play, autonomous education (child led learning), Resources for Infant Educarers (RIE), baby signs, positive parenting, baby-led weaning, adult-led weaning, nappy changing in all its forms, elimination communication, potty learning, raising screen-free children, gentle parenting, various methods of sleep support, natural living, accommodating dietary requirements, attachment parenting and baby wearing.
I work as a nanny full time. Sorry I can’t find how to deactivate my account

Claire worked with our family for 3.5 years (September 2018-January 2022). She started when our eldest was 6 months old, and continued with us after our second was born. She has been an incredible support to our family, and a wonderful caregiver for both of our daughters. She is punctual, organised and reliable. She has a lovely gentle way with children. She is extremely knowledgeable and can offer advice on all sorts of baby and toddler issues. Both of my daughters adore her and miss her - Claire stopped working with us when I chose to become a full-time stay at home parent. I could not recommend her more highly-she will be an asset to any family she works with.

Claire is a thoughtful, reliable nanny who is doing a great job with our little girl. She is great at organising the day and very good at creating a routine. She is focussed, pro active and a professional nanny. We are very happy to recommend her.
We know Claire as an emphatic nanny with a gift for communication with children. On top of that she is reliable, punctual and hard working. Claire is not fazed by a change of plan or unforeseen circumstances. She simply deals with things and makes the best of the situation. She was hands on with the children and managed to be a tremendous help with running the household
