I am 40 year old and mother to two boys (age 6 and 11 years). I have worked full time throughout my adult life and know only too well the ‘joys’ of a daily commute.
I am sympathetic to the pressures of working parents and aim through my childminding business to make your life easier. I will achieve this by providing a happy and inclusive setting where children thrive. I charge a flat hourly rate that is inclusive of the varied activities and nutritious meals that I provide. I have no hidden costs, therefore you will not be met with requests to fund activities or meals. My aim is to remove childcare stress so you can concentrate on your working day.
My home is happy, safe and inviting for children. I have recently completed a large extension and refurbishment of my home with my thriving childminding business at the forefront of all decisions. The rear of the premises is open plan with ample space to play and let your imagination run wild. I have also sought the advice of local support agencies and training courses to ensure my home is a welcoming and enabling environment for all that attend.
I will provide a variety of activities for children which are included in my fees:
Outdoor exploration in our vast selection of local woods, National Trust sites and parks.
Soft play, Toddlers play sessions at local halls and Children’s Centres. Free and Structured play along with Arts, Crafts, Baking and lots more!
Your child will be provided with a varied nutritious diet.
I do a daily school run to Bell Farm School.
The majority of my experience comes from being a mother. I am also part of a large family with 11 nieces and nephews.
Having been a ‘working mummy’ through my son's early years I am familiar with the pressures of managing family and work. With good communication and partnership I aim to make parent’s lives hassle-free through confidence that your child will be well cared for in a home-from-home setting.
I have completed all relevant Childminding and First Aid training.
I have also graduated in the art of catching flying spaghetti, searching for Gruffalos and constructing elaborate dens... AKA Motherhood!
I am currently full.
Please note I only do school runs to Bell Farm School and can not assist with other schools in the area.
My working day is 07:30-18:30 hours Monday to Friday but these hours can be negotiated.

Emma is honestly just fantastic! She has been looking after my daughter since she was about 10 months old and I couldn’t have asked for a better childminder!
She is warm, caring, enthusiastic, cheerful and inspiring.
She offers such a good range of activities for the kids (from crafting to national trust trips to toddler groups) and lots of outdoor time, which was really important to me. She gives the kids lots of nutritious food and creates a happy, positive food environment which I love. She is also really helpful and accommodating when we need flexibility. My daughter is always so happy to see Emma and doesn’t want to come home which is a clearly a good sign!
From an admin perspective, Emma is unbelievably well organised and efficient. Even during the Corona pandemic she has kept us regularly updated with any changes and developments and has posted daily videos and stories for the children even when not in her care.
Honestly can’t recommend her enough!
Our 2 year old daughter spent two days with Emma who kindly provided holiday cover and she absolutely loved it. Emma was so accommodating and ensured our daughter had a settling in session prior to the 2 days cover (organised at short notice with no issues at all). Emma arranged a lot of activities to make sure our daughter had fun and was stimulated throughout her two days. We couldn’t have been happier with the care and attention to detail she provided and hope we will be able to use her again in the future! Thank You!
Emma has been brilliant with our 15 month old daughter who started with her a few months ago.
Emma is great with Emily and we are happy and lucky to have found her. Her home is brilliant for kids, with a secure back garden. She regularly takes them to different places and forwards us videos and images of the trips. Recently Emma took Emily to Hounslow Urban Farm and Emily absolutely loved it!
Emma makes drop offs very easy and is flexible, especially with the demands of full time jobs. She has a diary that explains what Emily does each day.
We have seen a big change in our girl who has become more sociable since she’s been going to Emma.
We couldn’t recommend Emma highly enough!
My 22 month old son has been attending Emma's setting for several months. He is very settled and happy there and I always drop him off safe in the knowledge that he will have an amazing day!
Emma is very hands on and loves taking the kids outdoors, making the most of local events and green spaces. I know that my son has plenty of exercise and fresh air which is really important to me.
Indoor activities are varied, age/ development appropriate and linked with seasonal events. My son is always very relaxed in Emma's house and enjoys the company of all the other children, especially Emma's sons who are affectionate and playful.
Communication is excellent. Regular pictures/ videos and messages keep me involved in what my son is doing. Emma is always very flexible and accommodating. In addition Emma's attention to detail regarding health and safety/ contingency plans/ end of term reports/ parent feedback etc is fantastic.
I highly recommend Emma to anyone looking for a warm and stimulating placement for their child.
Emma is everything and more than you could want or need in a child minder. Her whole setting is friendly and welcoming. She takes time to ensure activities are educational, food is varied and supports my child with their needs whether it's homework, emotional or even if his behaviour is not conducive to the environment for the other children. She is flexible, accommodating, Professional, sincere and honest and trustworthy. I found Emma through this site without any recommendation and have been extremely fortunate. You won't find anyone better. Especially Ideal if your children are at Bell Farm School. I've been provided with policy updates, been included in setting reviews and kept fully informed of my child's activities throughout the last 4 years. Best of all, my child enjoys and looks forward to being there with all the other children- a huge relief for me.
