About Me
I am an Ofsted Registered Childminder living in West Ewell and I was graded 'outstanding' at my last three inspections (Dec 2010, June 2016 and January 2022). I have two grown-up children one of whom still lives at home. My granddaughter also lives here part of the week. We have a pet tortoise who lives in the garden when not hibernating. I have a dedicated playroom with lots of toys and equipment from birth to high school and a large, fully-enclosed garden. I provide a flexible service with school pick-ups and drop-offs. We undertake lots of fun outings and activities locally and further afield in the school holidays.

My Experience
I have been childminding since 1997 and in that time have looked after over 70 children with ages ranging from 6 months to 13 years. From 2006-2010 I combined childminding (3 days a week) with working as a Teaching Assistant in my local infant school (2 days a week). This gave me greater insight into what it means to be 'school ready' as well as understanding how to support school age children. Prior to childminding I worked as a Marketing Manager in Central London so I fully understand what it is like to be a working Mum.
My Qualifications
Early Years Professional/Teacher Status gained at the University of Brighton in 2013.
NVQ level 3 in Early Years Care and Education (2003)
I am committed to on-going professional development and attend a wide range of workshops and conferences to keep up-to-date with the current thinking on a range of childcare topics
My Availability
My service is available Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 6pm. A limited number of term time only places are available.

My boy joined Kay when he turned one and he has now been with her for almost three years. Kay has provided him with a safe, secure and fun environment since day one and he has absolutely thrived in her care. In addition to providing a very welcoming and stimulating environment at home, Kay is especially brilliant with the many special outings, classes and groups that she attends with the children (There are too many to list but Forest school, cooking classes and Brighton beach on the train have been big hits!). Kay is highly in tune with the EYFS and it has been brilliant to see my boy so excited to tell me all about the fantastic things he has seen and learned over the years. Kay is very passionate about her job and I would not hesitate to recommend!

Kay has looked after my two children (boy and girl) for over 10 years now. She started with my daughter at 9 months and my son at 15 months. Although i technically don't "need" childcare now both my children still choose to go to Kay's whenever they can. She takes the children on fantastic days out, the zoo, discovery centres, sports activities (and rhyme times/library stories times when they were babies) and if they mention a specific interest e.g. Languages or cooking she will try and find activites to encourage this learning. When they were young she taught them about different cultures helping them to learn the language, discover new foods and try new things. She is way more than a childminder and she (and her family) have been a big part of my family for over 10 years now. I cannot recommend her highly enough!
