What can I say? Amanda has cared for our two children since 2020 and is now more like an extended member of our family.
We have tried a few different settings in the area, but there isn’t another childminder like Amanda. She goes above and beyond in every way. She really cares about our children’s well-being, making sure each day is filled with fun activities, trips out and nutritious meals.
Amanda’s home setting is also wonderfully equipped. She has lots of different resources suitable for children of different ages, and a brilliant outdoor space which would be the envy of most nurseries in the area.
Our children thoroughly enjoy being at Amanda’s, and both settled in with ease. As parents, we really feel extremely lucky to have found such a brilliant level of care locally - she really is one of a kind. Even on rainy days, it’s amazing to hear how much fun the children have had and how much they have achieved. They both absolutely love being there, and sleep well at night after a fun packed day.

My daughter had just left Amanda’s care after being with her since she was 11 months old and is now making her next big step into school. Since day one Amanda has always made sure that she has the best time with her. From playing in the garden, to days out at the farm, Amanda always cared for our daughter like she was her own and because of that we felt very very comfortable leaving her on 2-3 days per week. Our daughter has always enjoyed going and has made many good friends whilst at Amanda’s. We are all going to miss Amanda and wouldn’t hesitate recommending her to anyone who needs a childminder.

Freddie has been with Amanda since he was 9 months old and I was returning back to work.
Immediately on meeting Amanda, I was put at ease by her professional and kind manner and her understanding of my anxiety of leaving my son for the first time.
I didn’t need to worry, Amanda has provided my son with a professional learning environment that has been pivotal in his development and the different types of play and activities on offer was very impressive as you can see in the pictures provided from his sessions of just how happy and settled he is under Amanda’s care.
Amanda has provided activities such as an impressive outdoor activity area with lots of water play and games to the children watching the development of caterpillars turning into butterflies and the children being able to release their own butterfly, one visit to a farms saw them bottle feeding baby lambs and then having an outdoor picnic to finish (Pre Covid).
To see Freddie so happy in his time with a Amanda has been such a huge help not only for me to have peace of mind when I am work but also to see how much he has developed in his language skills, counting and his imagination.
I am so grateful to the support Amanda has given me during our time with her and her care of Freddie and I would not hesitate in recommending Amanda’s setting to another family as you can be assured they will be in such a caring environment that focuses of their enjoyment in play and their development as they grow in her setting.
We are so sorry to be leaving as Freddie is now on his next adventure and is starting school, however a friendship was made and Amanda has been a big part of his life, so we stay in touch.

We have been sending our son to Amanda for childcare for the last 4 years and we could not be happier with the amazing level of care she has provided. Every aspect of what she does is of an exceptionally high standard, the setting and facilities available for the children are first class, there is always a varied range of engaging activities and after every session a highly detailed report is provided. Our son loves going to Amanda and has made some really good friends there that he looks forward to seeing. Our personal circumstances mean that we don't have any family leaving nearby to help with childcare so having Amanda to support us has been absolutely invaluable, we feel very fortunate to have found her and would recommend to anyone else without hesitation.

My children have been going to Amanda’s childcare provision since they were 8 months old and they still love going there at ages 5 and 8.
Amanda is extremely reliable and always shows amazing care, love and respect to the children. Her setting is fun and safe with lots of different activities and she thinks about the activities for the children, in line with their interests.
I would recommend Helping Hands without any hesitation :-)

Amanda has been looking after my son for almost a year, school pick up and drop offs and over the holidays. Her dedication to the children is amazing. Amanda is so creative with games and educational activities. There isn’t one time where my son has left upset he’s always thrilled to show us or tell us what he’s been up to.
If your looking for someone really reliable who will not only look after your child but educate them in a fun creative way then I would fully recommend Amanda. Best decision I made x

Amanda has been looking after our son (who recently turned 3) for nearly a year now and we honestly couldn’t recommend her enough. He has come on leaps and bounds with his development and we’ve noticed his social and communication skills have really improved. He loves attending the setting, taking part in lots of exciting activities and playing with his friends. He regularly brings home his artistic creations which we really love :) Amanda provides healthy meals, which our son has a few days a week and again something he really enjoys. She provides fantastic communication through tapestry, which includes sharing photos of their day and activities and regular text updates when needed. We feel that Amanda has got to know us as a family, and it’s such peace of mind finding someone we trust. Our son used to attend a nursery, but after a number of issues we decided to make the change and its been the best decision we’ve ever made.

Amanda was absolutely fantastic with our three boys, and would go above and beyond her job to look after them. They had activities planned, days out organised and all toys and activities were age appropriate :) she is so experienced with children and really helped bring my boys on in all areas of their development, even helping one of my boys with his speech and teaching him sign language!
The boys would also have healthy freshly prepared food and snacks which was amazing and the children in her setting were always her top priority. Communication was amazing and all information given on tapestry was fantastic :) I loved receiving the photos of the children to show me what they had been doing throughout the day! I can’t recommend her enough :)

My little girl has been going to amanda for years. She’s an outstanding childminder. There’s very few people I feel safe leaving her with and amanda is one of them. She’s fantastic with the children and great with babies too my little one started with her as a baby and she has helped bring her on so much. She teaches them so much and I can honestly say I owe credit where credits due to amanda for helping bring my daughter on so much and bringing her up exactly how I want when I’m not there. She teaches them great manners, kindness and also shows them love and care even when we have had a difficult year of covid. She offers lots of learning through play and some preschool activities ensuring they are more than ready for school. She offers very healthy meals and ensures she gets to know the needs and requirements of each individual child’s needs. I wouldn’t want to use anyone else.

Amanda looked after both our children during their pre-schooling years and some after-school care for our eldest before our youngest started school!
Activities were well planned and were centred around their individual needs to allow them both to make great progress in preparing for school. They both thoroughly enjoyed their time in her setting. The communication provided was very detailed and the introduction of the tapestry app enabled us to regularly see some of the activities our children took part in.
A super reliable service and we would highly recommend.
