We honestly couldn’t recommend Silvia more highly. She has been looking after our son Albie for the past three years, since he was just seven months old, and we feel incredibly lucky to have had (and still have) her as such an important part of his early years.
Putting him in childcare so young meant that we were looking for a home from home environment whilst also giving him some socialisation and we have found Silvia to be the perfect middle ground between nursery and a nanny. We have been lucky that the whole time Albie has been there, Silvia has also been looking after another girl the same age and it’s been lovely seeing them grow up together.
There is no doubt to us that Albie has thrived in Silvia’s care. She has developed such a wonderful, genuine relationship with him, and it’s been amazing to see how much he has grown and developed during his time with her.
We really appreciate the mix of activities that Silvia does with Albie including going to playgroups, puppet shows, play dates and outdoor activities. We love receiving picture updates each day (as well as a photo book at the end of each “term”) so we can see what he’s been getting up to. We’ve also found it really helpful that Silvia is able to give him breakfast, lunch and dinner (she even helped with the weaning process in the early stages) and meals are always healthy and nutritious.
We are so grateful for everything Silvia has done for Albie over the last three years and we genuinely couldn’t recommend her highly enough.

Our daughter, Rosie, has been looked after by Silvia full time until she recently turned 3 and we left London. We agonised over the decision to move away from London for months purely because of Silvia. She is the kindest, warmest and most caring person who has looked after our daughter as if she was her own child. Rosie has utterly blossomed over the past two years in Silvia's care! For us, Silvia provides the perfect balance between a nursery setting and a nanny: she provides the 1:1 care and attention that we feel is so important for our young child, yet the activities, playgroups, time outdoors and time with other children provides the necessary socialising skills that is also important. There is a reason Silvia is rated outstanding by Ofsted! Rosie has made wonderful friends in her time with Silvia, including with Silvia's 11 year old son who is an angel, and the other 3 children that come on various days and afternoons.
It has been 5 weeks since we left Balham and not a day goes by that Rosie doesn't ask to see Silvia as well as the other children. If you're looking for childcare that will leave you feeling at peace everyday after dropping off your child knowing they'll be looked after so well, will get the sleep they need, eat well and overall just have a lovely day in a kind and nurturing environment, then this is the perfect place.
