We are a Polish family who arrived in Blackpool in April, 2018 with two kids: 3,5 y.o. Gustaw and 2 y.o. Barbara. Soon after having moved in we started to look for a childminder to take care of our children during the day. Here we were in a new country with two children who did not speak any English at the time, so we were very worried that the process of finding a right caretaker will prove to be a mission impossible.
Luckily, a miracle happened, and Lynn appeared in our lives. When we first met, we appreciated very much her energy, her kindness towards the children and her courage to take on two Polish speaking kids along with the one kid already under her care. We were also impressed by her experience. It didn't take us a lot of time to decide that we would trust her to become our children's childminder. Time has shown that we couldn't have made a better decision.
I’ve really seen my kids' progress since they have spent time with Lynn and the other children in her care. First of all and maybe most remarkably, after only a couple of months my children started to speak English. Thanks to Lynn's patient and careful approach and her willingness to listen, my children felt encouraged enough to speak in a language completely foreign to them to the extent that after a year in Lynn's care they spoke English as their first language (even if at home we were still speaking Polish).
Moreover, she has a great manner with all the kids, she is always kind and patient with them. On the other hand, she is very well organised and sets a clear set of rules, which is very assuring for the kids: they always know what is expected of them. She is very careful to listen to the parents and their expectations as to what the set of the rules should be. We appreciated very much that she really invested herself and treated the kids with true fondness and affection that they felt and reciprocated.
My children loved spending time at her house: it has a clearly separated, spacious area for the kids, filled with valuable and creative books and toys. The time spent there was never wasted: the kids were playing, drawing, making constructions and exercising. Lynn prepared various activities for them, helping them increase their communication skills as well as their cognitive and motor skills. Frequently they had so much fun they didn't even want to come home at the indicated time.
The house is situated in the quiet area of the town and surrounded by an impressive garden where my children used to spend time with joy and excitement. Their activities included also sand and water play, drawing and sticking, reading and puzzles as well as outings to the park and the beach, trips to feed the ducks and walks in the parks. She would take them to different toddlers groups, facilitating meeting other kids their age and developing social and emotional skills. She would also expand their horizons by taking them to special events (like a circus show or a scavenger hunt). My children were never bored or disappointed after having spent the day in her company.The Baby's Days app was updated regularly, so we could witness directly how our children spent their days. This helped us to feel involved with their care and we could talk to them about their day.
What was also very important to us, the communication between Lynn and us was very open and sincere. I’ve always felt very comfortable to ask questions about children and their day. Lynn also engaged in solving some of the problems that arose during that time: she was very helpful with recognizing the issues at hand and proposing solutions based on her many years' experience.
Children love her very much and consider her their true friend, even though we left the United Kingdom in September. They miss her dearly and she is kind enough to talk to them online from time to time.
Meeting Lynn and having her as our childrens' childminder was the best thing that could happen to us. She has been childminding our kids for more than a year, five days a week, and I would absolutely recommend her as a great, trustworthy and reliable caretaker. We have been extremely happy with the care our kids have received, and the great progress they have made whilst in Lynn's care. We couldn't have imagined anyone taking better and more loving care of them.

Lynn has looked after my son since he was 11 months old and has just left to start school in September.
Lynn’s engagement has been outstanding in every aspect. She’s very caring and my son has become friends with Lynn and her lovely family.
Lynn takes the extra mile and makes sure the kids are involved in a variety of activities on a daily basis.
My son loved regular trips to the zoo and library. He would always bring home his pieces of art created during arts and crafts lessons.
We were extremely lucky to have Lynn, her experience and support have helped us a lot and prepared our son for his next adventure at the primary school.

Lynn has looked after my little boy since he was 9 months old and he is leaving as he will be starting school soon.
Lynn provides a family home environment and my son has felt like part of the family.
Lynn works extremely hard to ensure that the children in her care are safe and happy. My son has developed in all areas and is now ready to take his next step. Lynn is very accommodating and has helped us out as a family when we have faced challenges.
It will be difficult to say goodbye but it’s time for the next part of the journey.

Lynn looked after my son from 2008-2012 aged 9 months up until he was 4. Lynn is a fantastic childminder and such a lovely lady and her family are fantastic , Lynn has been a huge impact and influence on my son. She gives the children a home from home enviroment they go for days out to days in learning life skills and learning about the environment around them. When I was living in Blackpool Lynn helped me so much as I had no family near by and I couldn’t drive . she is extremely professional and up to date with her paper work . I felt so lucky and grateful that Lynn had a space when I went back to work she is an amazing lady we still keep in touch and I will never forget all the wonderful things she did for my son .

Lynn and her family have welcomed both my girls into the family home. She looked after my first born a long time ago now she is almost 17 and when I fell pregnant many years later I was just praying that Lynn was still doing childminding... and yes she was.... 😀I couldn’t of asked for a better person to have looked after both of them. I was so excited that she was still doing it as she is incredible, trustworthy and both girls have done brilliantly. I am just sorry that I will not be having any more children Lynn ha ha ha ha... but if I was I wouldn’t hesitate to ask you again Lynn.
I just want to say thanks Lynn for everything that you have ever do for my girls and my family... you are a credit to the industry 😀

Lynn looked after my 2 children for approximately 4 years commencing when my daughter was 8 and my son 6 years old. My husband and I always had an excellent working relationship with Lynn and found her completely reliable, pleasant, cheerful and very capable. She was organised in her paperwork including contracts, permission forms for medication and receipts for payments.
My children have very different personalities and Lynn cared for them both with patience, understanding and sensitivity, treating them as though they were part of her family. She provided a sympathetic ear for any worries they had and would speak to me if she had any concerns. She provided a safe and stimulating environment for the children from her home and also took them on many trips out. Both children enjoyed their time with Lynn and have kept in touch with her in the intervening years. I am very grateful to Lynn for the great care she gave to my children. Other than my husband and me they had no relatives nearby and being welcomed into Lynn's home expanded their social experience. They are both now in their 20s and are happy and well balanced, high achievers academically and have good jobs - I happily acknowledge that Lynn's care contributed to their success.
I have no hesitation in recommending Lynn to anyone looking for a great childminder.

Lynn was my childminder between the ages of 8-13.
She is a warm and smiley person who always ensured that me and the other children in her care were happy and stimulated.
Lynn created a homely environment where I always felt safe. She went above and beyond to deliver excellent care, even helping me with my homework! I have since qualified as a doctor and have no hesitation in crediting this partly to Lynn’s support during crucial years of my childhood.
I would recommend Lynn to anyone looking for a truly exceptional local childminder.

I used Lynn’s services to care for my eldest before we moved away, she’s highly experienced and qualified, very down to earth and friendly I’d recommend her to anyone
