Parent reviews
Below are the latest reviews for Dhani. Please note that reviews represent the subjective opinions of other Childcare.co.uk members and not of Childcare.co.uk. Parents must carry out their own checks and references on childcare providers to ensure that they are completely happy before enaging in the use of their services.
We cannot recommend Dhani highly enough. Having placed all three of our children in various childcare settings over the years, we can confidently say that Dhani is the most capable, caring, and professional provider we have ever encountered.
She has created an environment that is not just a service, but a true home away from home. What stands out most is how she consistently goes above and beyond, making her feel more like a trusted friend than a provider. We have complete peace of mind whenever we drop our child off, knowing they are in the hands of someone who is deeply committed to their development and happiness.
We particularly value the following:
**Diverse & Engaging Activities:**
Our child is always having fun and is genuinely excited to attend. We receive daily updates and photos via WhatsApp documenting a wide range of activities, including time in the garden, visits to local playgrounds, attending playgroups, dressing up, arts and crafts, and animal visits. It is clear that the children are stimulated, happy, and thriving.
**Professionalism & Transparency:**
We have found Dhani to be incredibly straightforward and easy to work with. Fees are clear, as explained and contracted from the start. She maintains excellent communication and always encourages us to review invoices, welcoming feedback to ensure everything remains accurate.
**A Nurturing & Clean Environment:**
The setting is consistently clean, safe, and positive. We see the environment daily and have always been impressed by the standard of care provided.
**Support for Families:**
Dhani is remarkably kind and professional. She is a warm, reliable presence who genuinely cares about the well-being of the children and the families she supports.
Dhani has been an invaluable support to our family, and we are incredibly grateful for the high-quality, nurturing care she provides. If you are looking for a dedicated and reliable childminder, we would encourage you to reach out to her.

Dhani is such a wonderful person, and we feel incredibly lucky to have found her.
Our son has been with her since he was just seven months old, and from the very beginning she supported us through everything, including the transition to solids, which she handled with so much patience, knowledge, and care.
Her home, and her family, have given our son exactly what he needed: love, warmth, stability, and a true family environment. She is professional, attentive, and creates a space that is perfectly set up for children to feel safe, happy, and engaged.
Our son absolutely adores her, and we will always remember the impact she has had on him and on us as a family.
She deserves every bit of positive feedback , she is simply amazing.
I highly recommend her.

Dhani is wonderful person she truly become second mom to our twin girls. Girls were always looking forward to go at her place. The amazing part no tears at all during morning drop-offs instead they were hugging Dhani.
Beyond being an amazing person she runs her childcare professionally and fair pricing and perfectly clear invoices.
Dhani always always keeps us closely connected to our twins day by sending regular updates and photos of all fantastic, engaging activities they do together. Dhani is very much approachable. Now, we are moving to another city and we wish we could find someone like Dhani.
We are truly grateful for her genuine maternal warmth. Highly recommended child minder. Thanks a lot Dhani xx 🙏

Thank you Richa for taking the time to leave this review. It was so lovely working with your twins I enjoyed every day with them. Seeing that you had such a positive experience plays a big role in the reason I do this job. I wish you the best for the future :)
My husband needs to spend about two months in Cambridge every year, so we always try to plan our visit during the children's school holidays in India. We first enrolled our daughters with Dhani Ma'am in 2024, returned in 2025, and once again in 2026.
Over the years, Cambridge has become a second home for our girls, now aged 5 and 3. They absolutely love going to Dhani Ma'am and genuinely miss her whenever we are away.
Dhani Ma'am made our stay in Cambridge so much easier and more enjoyable. The activities, meals, outdoor play, and daily routines were all thoughtfully planned and perfectly suited for the children.
What touched us the most was seeing how excited the girls were every evening for the next day. They would wake up eager to go, which speaks volumes about the comfort, care, warmth, and love they felt in her presence.
We are truly grateful for the nurturing environment she has created and for the wonderful memories our children have made with her over the years.

Thank you so much Ankita for taking the time to leave such a lovely review. It was a pleasure to work with such wonderful family. Wishing you all the best and I look forward to seeing you all again :)
We were really lucky to find Dhani when our son was just over a year old. Her house is full of love and care and you can tell that Dhani genuinely enjoys the company of children. We also had the pleasure of getting to know 2 of her daughters who also enriched our son's experience. In addition she also gave us plenty of helpful advice on weaning, potty training and sleep schedules, which was invaluable for first time parents like us.
We were really sad when it was time for our son to start nursery but I'm really glad that he got to experience the love and care from Dhani during that time. It always felt like Dhani was on our side and we were in a partnership instead of simply having a service to pay for.

Thank you so much Jessica for your review it means a lot to me to hear you had such a good experience and that I could help. I wish you all the best for the future and look forward to seeing you again
This has been the worst childminder experience I have had in Cambridge. Instead of supporting parents, it feels like everything is only about getting as much money as possible from families. Parents already work hard to provide for their children, and a childminder should be helping families, not making things harder.
One of the biggest issues was the constant judgmental attitude. She commented negatively about my clothes and even said she would never let her own daughter wear the same things. She also made comments about “what my son might say when he grows up.” That kind of mentality is unhealthy and inappropriate around children. Children should grow up around positive, respectful people, not someone who judges parents for personal choices.
There were also problems with invoices and payments. I noticed incorrect calculations that always seemed to benefit her financially, which made me lose trust completely. On top of that, she was dishonest about funded childcare hours. At first, she promised I would receive the full 15 funded hours, but later reduced it to only 11 hours after realising she would not make as much money. It honestly felt unfair and misleading to parents who rely on honesty and transparency.
Another concern was the level of care provided. Most of the time the children seemed to just be sleeping so she would not have to do much with them, and it even appeared that she herself was sleeping often too. The environment did not feel active, engaging, or properly attentive for children. On top of that, the children regularly seemed to have viral infections, which made the overall situation feel even more concerning.
What made things even more suspicious was that as soon as these concerns were raised, her profile was hidden. To me, that says a lot about the type of person she is and how she handles criticism and accountability. In my experience, it felt more like parents and children were being used for financial benefit rather than genuinely cared for and supported.
A childminder should care about children, provide a safe and positive environment, and support families — not focus only on profit while judging parents. I would not recommend this childminder to anyone, and any childminder behaving in a similar way should also be considered unacceptable.

I was genuinely surprised to read your review, particularly as throughout our time working together, you regularly expressed appreciation for the care and support I provided for your child and recommended my service to others.
I take all feedback seriously and strive to provide a safe, caring, and professional environment for every child in my setting. However, I feel it is important to clarify a few points.
Regarding sleep routines and engagement:
Firstly, regarding sleep routines, I discuss each child's sleep needs with parents and review these daily. Each morning, I ask parents how their child slept the previous night and plan naps accordingly. Sleep times are then discussed again during end-of-day feedback to make sure routines are meeting the child's needs and parents' preferences. Whilst the children in my care are napping, I check in on children every 10 minutes and they always remain in my sight and close to me.
I also send updates to all parents on their child and pictures of activities they participate in throughout the day.
Secondly, in relation to contracted hours, I operate a professional childcare business and work within the hours agreed in contracts. While I always try to accommodate occasional changes where possible, as I have done for you previously, I also have a responsibility and duty of care to other children and families in my care, where I must follow regulations of child ratios, meaning I can't always adjust collection and attendance times at short notice.
Regarding contracted hours & government-funded hours:
Another factor I feel is important to address with you again would be the government funding hours. The 15 hrs a week funding is non-stretch funding, and the 11.4hrs is stretch funding, on which I have explained to you via email and face to face, providing resources to support you further. I want to highlight that I did not make a promise of how many hours of government funding you would receive. The funding you receive is decided by the government and not me, as I have also addressed with you, ensuring honesty and transparency before agreeing on hours at my setting.
Regarding personal comments:
Thirdly, regarding personal comments you highlighted in your review, I would like to emphasise my duty of care for the child and their well-being, where my priority is your child's care. I do care for all my children's parents and family, but do not concern myself with the clothing they choose to wear unless concerns around safeguarding and well-being are raised.
Regarding invoicing:
I always strive to be transparent and accurate in my invoicing. I take any concerns about billing seriously and would always encourage parents to raise these with me directly so they can be reviewed and resolved promptly.
Children wellbeing:
I strongly disagree with any of the suggestions that children are left unattended or that proper care is not provided. I have six years of experience as an Ofsted-regulated childminder. I take proactive steps by investing continuously in my own professional development, engaging with additional training and independently educating myself on activities and tools to improve my knowledge around children's development and ways I can support them and parents better. I genuinely love my job and go beyond my contracted hours as I have for you to share resources and events that may benefit families outside of my setting. I take pride in the bonds I build with children individually and their families, and I remain committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for every child in my care.
Another point I would like to address is your comment regarding viral infections. I take infection control seriously within my setting and have a clear sickness policy in place to minimise the spread of illness. This includes regular sanitising of bottles, cups, toys, blankets, and frequently touched surfaces. I also follow the UK Health Security Agency guidance on exclusion periods, meaning children are asked to remain at home when unwell to protect others in the setting.
It is well documented that young children, particularly those in group care settings, experience a higher frequency of minor viral infections as their immune systems develop; this is considered a normal and expected part of early childhood. As children attend my setting from different households and wider community environments, some exposure to seasonal illness is unfortunately unavoidable, and is not a reflection of the hygiene or safety standards within my setting.
Regarding communication:
Furthermore, I have always discussed a daily routine with you and kept you updated, ensuring to ask open questions and a safe space to raise concerns or feedback. You have never raised or communicated you had concerns around this to me before. I do openly encourage feedback and ask for parental opinions or areas they would like me to support with their child's development, and take pride in doing so. I am also disappointed by multiple personal comments contained within this review, as they do not reflect my work ethic or the professional relationship we had during your child's time in my care.
We have spoken multiple times about how much you appreciated the care I provided, so I am led to believe this review has come from a place of personal disagreement. I hope you understand that I run a private business and need to maintain professional boundaries; therefore, I cannot help you financially with things unrelated to childcare. I tried my best and allowed adjusted payments; however, you must understand I can't control the government funding. As mentioned above, I had offered my utmost support with this to the best of my knowledge. I believe I have also shown kindness and met you with empathy along the way. Throughout our 10 weeks of working together, you commented on the positive routines and habits your child had developed while attending my setting, which makes many of the statements in this review difficult to understand, given our previous conversations.
If you believe there are specific incidents that support the claims made in your review, I would welcome the opportunity to discuss them further. You do have my email address if you wish to communicate further, as no such concerns were raised with me during our time working together.
I wish you and your family all the very best for the future.
I was fortunate enough to find Dhani through this website, and my daughter has been attending Dhani's setting for the past two years. Dhani has been outstanding from day one, and we truly felt that our daughter was at home. There hasn't been a single day that my daughter wasn't delighted to go to Dhani's. Dhani puts exceptional effort into each child's development, adapting her approach to meet the unique needs of every child. It is truly spectacular to see someone care for your child as much as you do.
My daughter has made tremendous strides in her development, and I know Dhani played a significant role in that. She is always encouraging the children to learn new skills and behave appropriately. The environment Dhani has created is ideal, and all the children there are thriving.
I am not usually one to write reviews, but I feel this is the least I can do to express my gratitude. The best part is that I will be seeing Dhani again soon, as my son will be joining her setting in a couple of months.
If I were to summarize my experience in one sentence, it would be: 'If you take your child to Dhani, you will have peace of mind and see impressive results.'

Dhani has been looking after our son for nearly 2 years now and we‘ve been really happy for all this time and feel lucky to have found her. She is very loving and caring and always provides great indoor and lots of outdoor activities for the kids she is looking after.
She has great communication skills and updates us regularly with progress but also talks through potential problems and always has good and productive suggestions.
Our son is always relaxed and happy when we pick him up and has a fantastic bond with Dhani. We‘re looking forward to our second child starting with her soon.
We highly recommend Dhani to everyone looking for a childminder.

Thank you so much Hanna 🙏
Dhani currently looks after my 2 year old daughter and has done since September 2020. It is so hard for parents to find someone that they feel comfortable leaving their child with but with Dhani, we found someone. We couldn't be happier with the care she provides. For me, it all boils down to my daughters excitment at going there. She loves Dhani and the enviroment that she has created for the children she looks after.
Dhani takes time to create exciting and engaging activities for the children where they can have fun and progress. Her enviroment is stimulating and she has a good range of indoor and outdoor toys, including an all weather outdoor area. She sees each child as an individual and provides them with the opportunities to grow. This is then tracked by Dhani and she often provides evidence of my daughters progress.
When there, I feel my daughter is completly safe. Dhani is a calm influence on all the children and sets clear and boundaries for them to follow. She easily gains all the children's confidence and trust and I know that they feel safe while under her care.
Throughout our time with Dhani, she has shown that she is an excellent practitioner, a natural with children and I feel confident when reccomending her to other parents.
Thanks for all you do Dhani.

Cara after reading this i feel proud of myself and everything i do for children and family comes from my heart i am lucky to have wonderful children's and families.
Thank you so much 🙏
Dhani is such a lovely person and dedicated professional. My son (21 months old) goes to Dhani twice a week where he has access to a wide, fun range of activities including plenty of outdoor exercise.
I have been extremely happy with the care that my son has received, and the great progress he has made whilst in Dhani's care. Her home is always welcoming, clean and well organised and my son has great fun playing with all available toys and with the other children in Dhani's care.
I know that Dhani provides well balanced food and healthy snacks such as fruit and yoghurt throughout the day. I am also aware that she ensures good personal hygiene, encouraging all the children to wash their hands before eating and after using the toilet. I’m sure that it is this practice together with the cleanliness of Dhani's home which has ensured that my son has remained healthy.
Dhani is a great communicator and has no trouble in gaining my son's confidence and therefore encouraging good behaviour and kindness and compassion to others, both skills which are in my opinion important. When my son steps outside his boundaries she responds with firm but kind discipline explaining what we would like to see in terms which he understands. When he is hurt or feeling under the weather I know that he feels happy to be comforted by her and I am confident that she can administer either first aid or medication following all the correct procedures and completing the necessary records to ensure his health and safety.

I hired Dhani as a nanny for my 6 month old between October 2019- March 2020.
Dhani is kind, caring, patient and an extremely intuitive childminder. She is a calming influence on any child and works hard to forge good long term habits.
She was extremely reliable and I felt at peace leaving my child in her care.

Dhani is a very kind and professional childcare service provider. My wife and me are both very busy at work, and we also need to work weekends often. We need to find a solution for keeping jobs going and our two pre-school children under professional care. We are very glad to find someone like Dhani , who understands our needs, what's best care for our children.
I would highly recommend Dhani to any parents who are looking for flexible, affordable and professional childcare services.
