Gentle and engaging home away from home

Lou was the first away-from-home childcare experience our daughter has ever had and she was amazing at helping her feel comfortable in a different setting away from parents. Within only a few sessions, our daughter has learned to be excited about going to hers, and has no trouble saying goodbye and zooming into whatever activity they’re starting the morning with. She even mentions on other days wanting to go to Lou’s, and she loves the range of activities that take place at Lou’s, from arts to outside play and park visits as well as regular dancing, music and even yoga!

For us as parents, Lou was such a helpful and gentle guide to helping her transition and she always keeps us updated with photos and notes on how she is getting on during the day and what they’ve been up to, giving us something to talk about at the end of the day.

I could not recommend Lou more!

The best childcare around

When we were deciding on childcare for our boy in 2021 we couldn’t decide between nursery and childminding- every day I thank my lucky stars our family came across Lou. She has cared for my boy and now my little girl (and continually cares for us as parents).

Her home is warm and inviting. The time and effort she puts into creating activities and learning opportunities for the children is amazing. Our girl adores Lou’s playroom with its balance on fine and gross motor activities.

Above and beyond all the wonderful things she does with the children is the love care and attention they receive in her setting. It’s our family’s home from home. Thank you Lou! I can’t recommend your setting enough

excellent home from home setting

My little girl has been going to Lou’s since August and was happy and confident from the first moment she stepped inside her house. Lou’s approach to learning and play helps our little ones to think and try whilst they explore and overcome new obstacles, I have certainly seen a huge growth in my daughters confidence and determination to keep on trying. My daughter has made some lovely friendships and continues to thrive in Lous care. As a family we are extremely happy we chose Lou to care for our daughter x

Loving and nurturing environment for my daughter

Lou has been looking after my almost 2.5 years old daughter since she was six months old. My daughter has grown
from a baby to a very happy, confident and sociable toddler in Lou's care. My daughter always loves going to Lou’s and she was made to feel like part of the family from the very start. Lou’s setting provides a great deal of stimulation for children of all ages and has a wealth of resources to keep them entertained all day long. My daughter particularly enjoys the outside walks, music and socialising with other children.

My daughter has several allergies which Lou has been helping us manage in a calm and professional manner. She has helped us through sleep, teething issues and now potty training calmly and professionally. She has been incredibly understanding and supportive of us as full-time working parents which made our life a lot easier.

Incredible family environment for my son

Lou is excellent with my 10 month old son. He is always delighted to see her and her two lovely girls when I drop him off before the school run. I am kept up to date with his activities from the day and have seen him develop rapidly in the time he has been in her care.
I feel very relaxed leaving my little one with Lou as he clearly feels very safe and happy and stimulated.
Highly recommend!
