The kids love it here!

My 2 children, son now aged 10 and daughter now aged 8, have been cared for by Rachel for just over a year now. That has included both before and after school. Rachel's setting is brilliant, inside and out, with loads for the children to do. My son loves taking shots at the football goal in the garden and my daughter always seems to leave there with some piece of craft or artwork she has created. It certainly isn't a place where the kids are dumped in front of a TV! They have some great board games too, 2 of which my kids begged me to buy to play at home. Rachel is great at discreetly providing me feedback from her observations of the children at collection time. She picks on everything, whether one seems particularly tired, or a little out of sorts, Rachel will have noticed. This is particularly useful to me as it prepares me for what lies ahead rather than me slowly picking up on those things over the next hour or so. Rachel has also always been very accomodating in regards to any last minute changes I might throw at her and has even picked up some medicine and taken it into school during the day to give to my child whilst I was not able to attend due work commitments. Rachel has also taken the time to provide me guidance from her experience as a parent (her children being older than mine) when I've been unsure on how best to deal with any particular childhood behavioural phase or situation. Rachel clearly loves what she does, cares for the children as if they were her own, and provides an excellent service for both the children and the parents themselves. I could not recommend Rachel highly enough!

Excellent

My Son who is now nearly 6 has been going to Rachel for before and after school care since September 2014. She has been absolutely great from the very start. Even before he started, I loved the very organised approach that Rachel had to making sure my needs as a parent and my son's were taken care of.
She has excellent indoor and outdoor space for kids to have fun in, in a safe environment, and her 2 boys, who are so well behaved and friendly, are a bonus! for other kids going in.
She has been great with my son's food allergies and is very accommodating in case we need an extra afternoon in on short notice!
My daughter, who is starting school in September this year can't wait to go to Rachel with her brother. She is already excited.
Did I mention, she does amazing home cooked dinner for kids after school which my son loves!
I can't recommend her enough!!!

Reliable caring fun

my middle son came to Rachel when he was 2.5years old, he loved going and Rachel always followed my routines I had in place, he loved going out on trips and after discovering my son had slight hearing problems which lead to speech problems she was great with helping him bring on his speech, we then moved to another village and Oscar left Rachel's to attend Playschool as I fell pregnant with my 3rd

Returning back to work there was no doubts alfie was going to Rachel's regardless that we lived in a different village she is worth the extra travel,
Alfie settled in with Rachel and again had a routine which was followed, he enjoyed going and loved all the fun adventures they visited,
I got a diary of what he had eaten how long nap and where he had been that day it was lovely coming home and seeing what fun they had,

I would recommend Rachel 100% she is a kind, caring and just really good with the children,
Both my boys always came home smiling and content

Goes above and beyond to care for your child.

Rachel has been childminding my daughter since September 2012 until January 2016, Rachel has always worked very hard to be flexible to suit our childcare needs. I have been extremely happy with the level of care My child has received, and the great progress she has made whilst in Rachel’s care. Rachel’s home is always welcoming, clean and well organised with the addition of Rachel’s family members always making Holly feel at home and encouraged to join in with their family activities. My child has had great fun playing with all the toys available and with the other children in Rachel’s care. Beyond all this though, it is Rachel’s warm and friendly but professional approach which sets her apart from other childminders we have experienced.

She provides a wide, fun range of activities including plenty of outdoor exercise. I know My child frequently enjoys sand and water play, drawing and sticking, reading and puzzles as well as outings to the park, trips to feed the ducks and walks in the woods. Rachel’s activities have allowed My child to explore new things as well as develop keen interests in particular activities. When my child started with Rachel, Rachel worked hard to ensure her routine, likes and dislikes were understood and carried out in her care to provide an easy transition for me to return to work and for my child to feel immediately settled in Rachel’s care. Rachel completed a diary detailing what My child had done each day. From this I had a complete picture of her whole day including what she had eaten, how long she had slept for and all her activities.

Rachel works very well with you as the parent in discussing the needs of your child and has the ability to adapt as your child grows and needs alter. She has been heavily involved in encouraging healthy eating, potty training and discipline. She has worked very hard with us as parents to ensure that she is encouraging My child the way that we have done at home.

I would absolutely recommend Rachel as a great and reliable childminder. Finding someone to look after your child is one of the biggest decisions I have had to make and generally feel that Rachel has gone above and beyond my expectations in the level of care that she has provided to my child. She is a childminder that goes the extra mile and has a genuine desire to look after children to a high standard and this comes across.

Looks after your child like they are her own.

Having used Rachel for over three years I wish to highly recommend her as a child minder to any child you have.

I first started using Rachel for my eldest daughter for before and after school care. She always ensured she was on time for school, fed her good nutritious meals and ensured she was happy and content. Rachel was also there as a source of advice and experience when it was needed. My daughter was always happy to attend Rachel's setting. She enjoyed the trips organised and all activities. When asked my daughter said she "loves going to Rachel's".

When I was poorly whilst pregnant with my youngest Rachel was happy to support our family with flexible care for my daughter whilst I was in hospital.

The time came for me to return to work and of course there was no question that my little one of 8 months would attend Rachel's setting . Rachel put together a learning journey to catalogue and evaluate little ones progress. Which is an item which is treasured.

I have used a few child minders for my older daughter and none were even comparable to the standard of care both of my children received whilst with Rachel.

If you are looking for a trustworthy, caring, professional, loving, well trained, very experienced, excellent child minder then look no further Rachel is for you.
