Jo took care of our daughter from 10 months old. We could not wish for a better setting and a better childminder.
Jo takes the kids to days out, to the park, library etc. the kids create such a bond with her and between themselves. Our daughter absolutely loved going to Jo and also developed skills that she wouldn’t get in a big nursery.
This is a warm, safe, fun place for any kid. Highly recommend

The moment I met Jo I knew she was the right person to care for our little girl Chloe. She instantly put us all at ease, this was needed when leaving her at just 7 months old. Chloe was happy to stay with Jo from day one, Jo was amazing at putting her at ease and settling her quickly. For Chloe being with Jo was like a home from home. I was always confident that Chloe was well cared for whilst with Jo.
Jo is attentive and caring to all the children she cares for. She ensures they have activities planned to keep them occupied with is age appropriate to them, and also sets tasks in line with the Early learning frame work which has provided Chloe with the most amazing start for school. I have been asked by the teachers at her school which Nursery she had attended, I have been proud to declare she didn't attend one and all of the skills she has already gained are a credit to Jo. She provided Chloe with all of the skills she needed to embrace school life with confidence.
The environment Jo provides is homely and welcoming. She makes the children feel they are part of the family and they are welcomed by Jo's family members too. Chloe loved her time with Jo and still likes to visit on a regular basis to keep in touch. We as a family feel that Jo has been the best thing for us through all of Chloe's early years, she has not only been great for Chloe but for us too with all of the support she has provided to us when we have needed it.
We cannot recommend Jo highly enough, if you want to know your child is in a loving and caring environment where they will be fully cared for, their needs met, they are stimulated and so you don't have to worry whilst they are away from you then this is the lady to choose!
Finally we would like to thank Jo for everything she has provided to us as a family and for giving Chloe the skills in life she needs to carry forward into the rest of her life. Thanks to you she is excelling in school and creating wonderful friendships.

Jo has being a huge part of our life’s for many years. She looked after my son and daughter both until school age. Another reviewer said home from home and this is so true. It’s a relaxed safe environment which I recommend to anyone. Jo also makes sure that your children are ready for school.
Both my children absolutely love her and she has helped them create fantastic memories.

My daughter started with Jo when she had just turned 1 years old and I had made the decision to go back to work. The first week that she started was tough and we had a few tears first thing, 5 minutes after dropping her off I would receive a text from Jo saying she's absolutely fine, along with various pictures through the day. During those early stages we relied on family to pick our daughter up so Jo took it upon herself to fill in a diary every single day of what she'd done, what she'd eaten, how long she slept for etc. - This really helped me in the evenings.
Jo always found things to do with the children, they would often go to the park, playgroup or library groups. She also has so many toys and creative items in her house to keep them entertained all day long.
Over the 2 years my daughter was with Jo, there was only 1 day that she messaged me saying she couldn't have Thea and that was simply because her daughter had a sickness bug. I think that just goes to show how committed she is to her job.
My daughter loved every minute with Jo. She started as the youngest and left as the eldest on the days she was there and we were both heartbroken when she had to leave to go to pre-school. Even now that my daughter has started school, Jo still messages asking how she's getting on (that's the type of person she is). She became a good friend and I would often stay to have a chat in the morning.
Leaving your child to go back to work is such a hard decision and Jo made our lives and our decision so much easier by following the way that we parent and never judging our parenting techniques. I honestly could not recommend her enough, she is brilliant with children and an lovely person in general. She has definitely made a lasting impression on our family.

Jo began looking after my son when he was around 1. I knew as soon as I met her that I would be able to put my trust in her, just by seeing how she interacted with the children and how each and every one of them clearly loved to be with her.
I was nervous about leaving him and she was so patient and understanding. He has now been there for over 2 years and has absolutely loved it. He has made some great friends and also been made to feel a part of Jo's family, a real home from home. Everyday when he was with Jo she would write in his diary so I knew what he had been up to, what he had eaten etc. It was great.
Jo is a very kind, caring and understanding person, and has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to parenting. She has been my go to person when I have needed any advice.
It has been really hard to say goodbye to Jo...she is fantastic.

Jo not only provided us with a great service, she was also part of our family...My daughter Amber was with Jo since she was 1 years old to 4 1/2 years. In this time Amber has loved being at Jo's and making friends with the other children, she has learned many things ie. writing her name, baking cupcakes, counting, colours and various knowledge of the world. Jo helped me potty train and promoted independence so that Amber would learn to do things by herself. Amber gained lots of confidence and learned to socialise by going to the library, trips to playgroups and meeting with other childminders and their children and so on.
Jo provided a loving and supportive environment and always went the extra mile for all the children. She helped me out many times with regards to flexible timings, pick up and drop offs. I never had to worry about anything as I knew Amber was well looked after and her needs were seen to. Most importantly my daughter was very happy to share her day with Jo and the other children everyday and even wanted to go on the weekends!!
As Amber now moves on to school, I'm very proud of her and you should be proud of yourself too as you've helped to shape her and her future learning.

Jo is an amazing childminder. My daughter started with Jo pretty much full time when she was 9 months old and has been with her until 4 years old. She has just started school otherwise she would still be with her now! Jo has provided such personalised care for my daughter, she was made to feel part of the family, made many friends and now has such confidence. Jo attends plenty of playgroups to get the kids out and about. She also takes the children to the library once a week. She's very flexible, and has exceeded our expectations - I could not have asked for better. We miss you Jo! Lyndsey, Gavin and Eva xxx

Jo is a very honest, fun loving and professional childminder who is child orientated in every way. I would confidently recommend her to any family looking for an alternative to nursery care. It's a pleasure to be writing about her...
I first met Jo 5 years ago as a working Mum looking for that "someone special" to care for my baby daughter. I found Jo very approachable, friendly and most importantly knowledgeable about children's development. I really appreciated the way she related to my daughter and played with her in a way that encouraged a love of learning and allowed her to discover (and often get messy in the process) As an ex teacher I was (and still am) quite particular about reading books to children and giving children space to be creative. Jo was perfect in this respect! Just fabulous :)
Now, 5 years on I am bringing my one year old son to Jo. During the last 5 years I have experienced other child minders and how they run their buisness (because at the end of the day that's what it is) BUT with Jo she makes you feel like you are part of her family.

well were do i start..... ever since i joined Jo my daughter has loved it every week that she has gone her conifdents has come along so well, as before she was shy and did'nt enteracted with other children. Jo was'nt just our childminder she was our friend and part as a family so when my daughter had her last day at Jo's i cried because that is how much she ment to me and my daughter. freya has been with jo a year and a half and in that time she knows how to count to 10 she come's back home singing different songs that she had learn't and she always goes on about Jo and what they played. i would like to say a massive thankyou as i hope when i register i will be just as good as Jo and any who can get her is very lucky. Best wishes in the future we will miss you Tonya Read and Freya Mosey xxxxx
