Caring, loving and passionate Child Minder

From the moment my 2yr old son joined Karen he has loved it. She engages them with fun activities at her home and adventures by taking them to parks, librarys, soft play & playgroups. Her home is also full of interesting and fun toys for them. She has been so great with Wilfred helping him hit milestones and giving me help with his potty training. Karen truly treats the children asif they were her own. She loves them all. She provides a book to log what your child has done that day and sends photo daily of the your childs to you. My son has come on so much with his speech, personality and learning since being with Karen and me and my husband would highly recommend. Nothing is a problem and she is always happy to help and give advice. Look no further if you require a trustworthy childminder to leave your children with. She's fab. Xxx

Excellent care

Karen has been caring for Harry (11 months) for the past 4 weeks. During this time we have seen a huge change in him. He has started to crawl, is more settled, is more independent in his play and interacts better with other people. We are in no doubt that this is down to Karen's input, care and hard work.

Her home is both welcoming and stimulating for children, with a huge variety of games, educational toys and activities.

We are kept updated daily with a communication diary, which includes details of food, activities, naps and photos.

Karen has made the challenge of returning to work and leaving our first child with somebody very easy, and has been very supportive and reassuring. She is extremely accommodating for Harry's allergy, and we trust her completely. It's clear to see that she cares deeply for the children she looks after, and we'd be lost without her.
After seeing the positive changes in Harry in just 4 weeks, we are excited to see how he will continue to develop and hope that he will remain with Karen as his childminder for many years.

Amazing. Couldn't do without her.

Karen has been caring for our son Kasper since he was a year old. Her home is incredibly warm, friendly and welcoming and is truely a home from home for Kasper who is very happy and settled there. There are always fantastic projects and activities on the go along with days out and all sorts of adventures. It is very clear just how much Karen loves what she does and she goes above and beyond everyday. Kasper absolutely adores her and loves being in her care. Karen provides diaries of their activities and of Kaspers development along with photos everyday and it's wonderful to be able to see the joy and delight Kasper experiences when with her. Kasper has developed into a very happy, confident and sociable toddler and a lot of this is thanks to Karen. We honestly could not be without her. Kasper is such a lucky boy to benefit from her experience, enthusiasm and care (as will our little girl when I return to work) and we are very lucky parents to have found Karen and be so reassured and confident with their care. First class childminder

Karen was strongly recommended to us by our son Oscar's godparents. Oscar was looked after by Karen from one year old until he was two and a half. The only reason Oscar left Krazy Kidz was because we have relocated.
Karen is highly regarded, well qualified, highly rated with many years experience and is rated by Ofsted as outstanding.
During his time with Karen Oscar has gone from being a shy, reserved baby to a bright, bold and confident toddler and Karen has played a huge part in that.
Karen made great progress in helping Oscar with eating solid foods - he had suffered with gagging since weaning.
We were very impressed by Karen's excellent record keeping, the personal development folders and daily diaries she completes.
We loved reading Oscar's diary to find out what he had been up to that day. The photos she takes daily and the constant communication of Oscar's activities and development is first class.
It is obvious how much Karen cares for all the children in her care and how much pleasure she also takes from being a part of their life. The list of activities and trips she organises is endless.
Oscar has enjoyed learning from so many projects and has enjoyed so many trips out (parks, museums, the seaside and further afield to Mini Moos, York Maze and Down at the Farm to name just a few).
Karen is a warm, friendly kind and extremely caring person who has looked after Oscar like one of her own. She goes way above and beyond the call of duty and does whatever she can to help make our lives a bit easier.
Our main sadness from leaving the area was the fact we had to take Oscar out of Krazy Kidz.
Karen is not just a childminder, she has become our friend and has been, and will still be, a special part of our lives, especially Oscar's. We are very lucky to have found a very good friend for life.
We have no hesitation in recommending Karen as a childminder, you won't find anyone better!

Grade A childcare

Karen is a wonderful childminder and I would have no hesitation recommending her to anybody. Our children George (6 years old) Madeleine (aged 4) and Joseph ( aged 2) all love going to Karen's. They have been going since they were 1 year old and have thrived in Karen's care. Her house is filled with stimulating toys and activities for the children are planned on a daily basis. She always has a project on the go - at the minute it's hatching butterflies! Karen and her husband Neil provide a caring, fun filled family home where my children are safe and valued! We couldn't ask for more.

Second Mother

Karen has been looking after my two children since they were 3 months old, my son Adam is 11 years old now, Karen has helped him progress and do well in school and growing up, Tamara is 8 years old still with Karen, she loves being there playing and learning new things with the other kids, Karen is like a second mother to my children, she's not just a childminder she is also a good listener to the parents when they need help and advice. Will recommend anyone to Karen's services.

Simply Outstanding

Karen has been looking after Lauren (10) and Emily (8) since they were around the age of 5 months. I was initially going to use a nursery but preferred the “home from home” setting of a childminder as I feel nurseries are limited in the activities they do with children and they are segregated into age groups. I set up appointments with four other childminders but something didn’t seem right when meeting with them. I then met Karen. I instantly knew that she was “the one” and have never regretted placing my children with her.

Karen takes the children on various outings (parks, soft play centres, library visits, museums, etc) and they especially like the school holidays as they always go on bigger trips and have visited numerous attractions over the years (Mino Moos, Adventure Valley, Forbidden Corner to name a few) and regularly go to the seaside in warmer weather. The children in Karen’s care are always engaged in some form of activity.

Karen is an absolutely wonderful person who is caring and kind and she treats all the children in her care equally. She is an absolute star and the children love going to her house. She is very friendly, outgoing and loving.
Put simply, Karen is the best and I personally would be totally lost without her and I feel lucky that she has been a part of Lauren and Emily’s life and will continue to be for years to come.

If you are looking for a childminder with outstanding values, an abundance of creative ideas, a safe, welcoming and loving environment then Karen is the person for you. I can wholeheartedly recommend her 100% - she is 1 in a million.

Excellent

Karen is an amazing childminder! She has been caring for my daughter for many years and now my son too! He has been more of a challenge as he has had significant special needs in the last couple of years but Karen has faced all the challenges caring for him entailed without any problems. She is very flexible in her working hours and helps as much as possible to to accommodate requests for changed hours. I would recommend her without any hesitation.
