Safeguarding Quick Reference Cards

How do I use the safeguarding quick reference cards? have produced this set of safeguarding ‘quick reference cards’ in response to requests from childminders and group providers. The quick reference cards can be used to look up information relating to child protection and safeguarding during inspection or if there is an emergency situation.

Every Local Authority must, by law, have a Local Safeguarding Children Board but they are called different names across the country so the cards are left blank and providers will need to research information relating to their own local safeguarding authority and write it onto the cards.

The completed cards can then be laminated and fastened together with a short length of ribbon, string, a split ring or a key hook so they can be updated easily as legislation changes.
