About Us
Arc School Napton is an independent specialist resource which exists in rural Warwickshire to provide full time education for young people in the 7-11 age range. It is an autism friendly environment and caters for pupils with a range of communication barriers, sensory needs, socially disadvantaging behaviours and associated learning difficulties including Aspergers, speech and language difficulties, ADHD, specific learning difficulties, attachment difficulties etc.
Our Childcare Provision
Day provision is offered to up to 20 boys and girls. They all hold statements of educational need under the Education Act 2000 and are taught in mixed ability small group classes.
The school has a family structure providing a safe and secure learning environment in which students thrive. All students have a designated Key Worker within the school who oversees their individual welfare and development and liaise closely with parents, carers and other professionals.
Learning Opportunities
The school is dedicated to sustaining excellence in learning opportunities within the framework of a caring and therapeutic environment where practice is informed by reward based behavioural approaches, grounded in thoughtful self-reflection. The school maintains a rich, broad and balanced curriculum which promotes intellectual, personal, social, spiritual, moral and physical development within a controlled caring environment.
Individualised Curriculum
ARC School Napton - StudyingOur offer is of an individualised curriculum that is research based, evidence led, solution focused and highly personalised. It is informed by multi-disciplinary perspectives that enhance our capacity as a learning organisation, ensuring opportunities to succeed are maximised and routinely enjoyed by all.
To that end we employ the services of Educational Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists and Occupational therapists to engage in systems led school improvement and support work. All pupils are screened for sensory needs and speech and language difficulties and bespoke support programmes implemented.

We have a strong commitment to partnership working and aspire to be a leading national and international voice for disseminating innovative evidence based research.
Our vision is to become a hub for the exchange of learning where theoretical models are operationalised, professional knowledge bases improved and outcomes for the wider educational community enhanced making real and sustainable improvements for young learners.
Music as Therapy
All pupils have the opportunity to learn a musical instrument. Music is also used as a targeted intervention using the Sounds of Intent Framework Programme under the supervision of Roehampton University.
