I am delighted to introduce you to Birdwell School Academy. We decided to convert to an independent Academy on 1st April 2013 after full consultation with parents, staff and the local community. As a school with high academic standards with a recent good Ofsted report, we felt we could improve standards further, by being in total control of all issues relating to our school and could respond to the needs of our children within our community.
Our school is vibrant, friendly and purposeful. We pride ourselves on the quality of relationships and take our responsibility for educating children very seriously. At Birdwell we strive for the highest possible academic achievement whilst also providing a curriculum that allows children to develop skills to be a success in the future world. We are very fortunate at Birdwell to have a modern building which was designed with children’s learning in mind. Also we have extensive outside space which includes a purpose built sports field and a wooded area which houses an outside classroom
At Birdwell everyone is treated as an individual and everyone’s views matter. High levels of behaviour are expected and we do all we can to ensure our school is a happy and safe place in which children thrive.
Our Childcare Provision
Birdwell Primary School offers a Breakfast Club which runs from 07.45 - 8.45 daily and an After School Club runs daily from 3.30 - 6.00 p.m.
