About Us
Brockwell Nursery and Infant School stands in large, well kept, landscaped grounds on the western side of Chesterfield. Within and around the grounds we have mature trees, hedgerows and shrubs which support a variety of birds and wildlife. All of this enhances the school’s environment and is a bonus to the children’s topic work.
In recent years, improvements have been made to the site in line with our accessibility plan. Wide opening doors and ramps in and around the school site ensure it is fully accessible to all.
Our Childcare Provision
The Infant school has six well equipped traditional classrooms, a nursery and the main hall, which is also used for dining and indoor PE. We have wonderful outdoor learning areas; including a sheltered veranda allowing us to access the outdoor provision in all weathers. Nursery too has its own outdoor area with a shelter so that our youngest children can enjoy the experience of outdoor learning.
We take pride in our achievements and in the work of each one of our children, the quality of which can be seen in the displays in all the classrooms and throughout the school.
