About Us
At Farlington we educate for confidence. Our girls are happy, successful individuals. We are an outstanding independent girls’ day and boarding school located just outside Horsham, on the West Sussex/Surrey border, 20 minutes from Gatwick. We provide an excellent all-round education for girls aged 3–18 with a co-educational Nursery.
Each girl is valued; her personal development, whether in Prep School, Senior School or Sixth Form, is paramount – we educate for confidence. Farlington offers so much more than just academic success – we provide an all-round education. Girls are offered an extensive variety of activities as part of, and in addition to, the curriculum. Music, art, drama and sport are all an important part of Farlington life and provide every opportunity for success. Farlington has a strong sense of community and each girl’s cultural,
spiritual and emotional education is viewed with equal importance. Girls leave Farlington as well-educated young women with highly developed interpersonal skills and a broad range of interests. They have the confidence and self-belief to pursue their personal goals and make a positive contribution to the immediate and wider community.
Our Childcare Provision
Farlington offers extended day provision for pupils, before and after school. This complements the Prep School's after-school activities, and the Prep session and activities in the Senior School. A Breakfast Club runs from 7.30am. From 4.30-5.45pm there is a Ducklings Club for Nursery to Prep 2 offering a drink and a snack in Fishponds Junior Boarding House followed by relaxing activities. There is an Extended Day option at the same time for girls in Preps 3 to 6, who have their snack in the Boarders’ Dining Room, followed by activities in Fishponds.
Extended Day Plus runs from 5.45-7.00pm. A hot supper is served in the Boarders’ Dining Room, followed by activities in Fishponds for girls up to Year 8 or in the Mansion House in Year 9 and above.
