About Us
The Nursery School, situated within sixteen acres of beautifully landscaped gardens, is divided into two large, brightly decorated classrooms. The Nursery School building is set in its own enclosed garden, providing a natural, safe and secure play area with logs, play house and outdoor play equipment comprising a colourful pirate ship with slide and rock wall ramp, an all-weather carpeted play area and a covered outdoor activities area. The children also have the use of the Woodlands Hall, the Millennium Hall, the Junior ICT room with networked computers and the Junior Library. Moreover, the adjoining playing fields and tennis courts provide additional play areas and the grounds and neighbouring woods are excellent for nature walks.
Our Childcare Provision
Our Nursery School provides full and part-time care and education for boys and girls aged 2-4 with an enviable staff to pupil ratio of 1:6 or lower. We offer flexible sessions to suit individual needs with wrap-around care (8am – 6pm).
Our teachers are well qualified and very experienced. They are fully committed to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) themes and principles, focusing on the children’s intellectual, linguistic, physical, creative, emotional and social development. In both classes, children are given ample opportunities to learn through games and imaginative play, whether indoors or outdoors in a completely secure, caring and homely environment.
We give a very gentle and purposeful start to the formal education process, combining purposeful play and a solid educational structure. Our main aim is to ensure the happy, all-round development of each child through a wide and balanced range of interesting and challenging experiences.
